Not saying black Israelites calling CACs devils and demons should run but a candidate with a specific black agenda can get elected.
This kind of candidate would only be elected locally where Black ppl make up a majority of the voting population. On a national level, White Ppl (among other ppl) aren't gonna vote for that candidate even the “good” cacs some of y'all believe in.

That answer is complete bullshyt. Easy rebuttal.

If we only represent 12% of the population so they can’t address or needs without losing majority of votes, why can they address LGBT issues? LGBT (trans) especially get specific laws passed for them.
LGBT group is full of whites and us blacks are not:mjlol:

Black gays are the ultimate tools tho.. unfortunately thinking they are with them LGBT whites but they really just some crash test dummies for them in the trenches with us in cold denial:wow:

You can be pro black and get shyt done. Frederick Douglass is an easy example. There are many others. Y’all really underestimate the power and influence black Americans have over this country. We move the culture.

Not saying a black Israelite calling CACs devils and demons should run but a candidate with a specific black agenda can get elected.
Frederick Douglass was dealing with racism in the late 1800s until death…what does any of that have to do with modern media, modern propaganda, the acceptance of other fair-skinned folk as white, modern gerrymandering, modern corporate spending to shut down activist black candidates (shout out to Nina Turner), modern white resentment as they are losing numbers in the country, modern economics that has offshored a ton of jobs and makes those same whites more likely to blame blacks for their position (replacement theory) and other things? Frederick Douglas was made a U.S. Marshall, not a politician who could propose legislation.

Bruh...that's the obvious answer. You gotta be stupid to think that being a super pro-Black politician will get you elected in a country with 60% White ppl
You got white people running for office right now talking about people bring too “woke” and that’s just Twitter bullshyt. You’re absolutely right, there’s no way sone super militant politician will win right now.

How do you disagree with her if you listen to her full clip (which starts at 0:56)?

She's basically saying be smart about it, if you focus on benefits for black Americans only EVERY other race (that hates us) is going to get mad or feel left out. She even says she tried that before and lost because of it.

It is 2022, we can not afford to not understand the game in this country. We need to move smart, seize power, and bring about the changes we want to see.

She wasn't even being that subtle about that being her intention in this interview either. Like come on.
Who cares? Biden has had absolutely no problem signing executive orders that benefit non black races, I’ve seen no back lash. When it comes to specific tangibles for us there are alllllllllwwwwwaaaayyyyyys excuses. She’s FOS. She dangled the carrot and used it as fodder during her campaign, now she actually has to do something she’s FOS and reniging. I hope she gets a bad case of constipation.

Thread is full of sadness all around. Black liberals not only justifying this treatment but thinking its 'strategic' politics for us is just SMH. Based on what exactly? What wins have we ever gotten tiptoeing around who we are?

Stacey Abrams is the embodiment of this type of political calculus in the Democratic party that sidelines anything too black.

All that grinding she did and then openly asking for a role in the WH, only to get nothing and have to risk the career uncertainty of another major political loss...I'm sure that'll get her shortlisted as a Pres candidate like Beto was though, right?

If everything gets distilled down to "anything but republicans" then just stick to that script; there's no requirement that you have to defend or justify the rhetorical sidelining of overt Blackness in the party's platform.

A lot of black politicians routinely dangle that carrot. They know that in order to receive high black turnout in the beginning, they have to throw out how they’re black this, first black that, etc. Once they get us, or feel they’ve got us locked in, then they switch up on some “I can’t say black no more” :hubie:

They do this, and then wonder why some of the group becomes hesitant or jaded. No one likes being used. Then you got folks saying other folks are being too emotional. Well, what do you expect to happen when the plan all along was to get us emotional, hence the “im black this” “I’m the first black that”

Man, just leave all that out the door if you’re going to then turn around and say you’re unable to do for us.

We as black people are in a political tight spot. Low key aborting millions of our population has backfired on us on the political sense, even though I don't think abortion should be totally banned. Our only chance at getting more political power in the near term is to do as Charles Blow and a guy on Twitter
advocate for and return to the south and concentrate our numbers.
