^ nah, i don't think there's any real agenda with star trek. they shyt on religion heavy on who watches the watchers, but if you watch DS9 you'll see that they push the arcane aspects of it back to the forefront (the people of Bajor consider Sisko to be a religious deity aka 'The Emissiary')

typical and expected, most people that are into science are not into religion

but aye im rewatching every episode and the episode where jon luc goes to another world and lives out a full life within 25 real time minutes was a mind fuk, that shyt was crazy
