I’ve been going to the gym for 10 years now. The key is to put your ego to the side and just have fun and stay safe. It’s not about how big your muscles are or how much you can lift. It’s about being healthy.

Another secret to help with your mental health and exercise is to look up any nature trails in your area and go for a stroll. Even in colder months it’s fun walking around and seeing nature. I like to do that on my off days

I've added in weekly rock climbing and roller blading sessions throughout the week. Having fun activities that you don't even consider on the surface to be a workout can really help in maintaining your body.

Gym plus Kyokushin, I'm all set. Can almost do the splits so my axe kicks will be here soon

not like that :russ:

my proper inhale and exhale technique is off, I have a habit of doing it incorrectly or just slightly breathing through my nose when working out.

I never exhale through my mouth :francis:
I gotta stop that shyt asap

Especially while counting my reps,, I'm good with running tho

It's something that you have to practice. I was doing some new complex push up variations the other day and my breathing got off and I had to stop. It wasn't that I couldn't do the workout but it was hard for me to get a breathing rhythm going with this crazy foolery I was trying to do, so I got to a point when I literally wasn't intaking any air :pachaha:

But then I practiced it and got my breathing right and I was able to do it with no issues.

I honestly need way better discipline. My body has been aching bad for a really good work out--just haven't made the time.

Do it today. No excuses bro.

That's how it was with me. I was doing more "thinking about doing it" than actual doing it and one day, something inside of me just snapped and I said I'm doing it right now. And I never looked back. It's a habit now.

early bed time too for that mental focus during the day too + mental clarity and sanity
:wow:

Yep, gotta get your rest. Nobody talks about how sleep and rest is as essential to a workout routine as the workout itself. That's when your muscles are getting the time to repair and grow. :wow:
