Hopefully we can keep all the discussion about this ambiguous activity in this thread and this thread alone.

I don’t even know wtf yall want.

If the player refuses to play after a certain point, you bytch

If the player plays but doesn’t give full effort, you bytch.

If the player plays hard and scores points, you bytch.

Exactly wtf is an nba player supposed to do once a game gets past your threshold of competitiveness?

The playoffs need to hurry up. The coliseum is terrible right now when it comes to talking about the NBA
It’s terrible year round. Wait til you get overreactions and hot takes after each playoff game. It seems like most people on the web these dudes don’t even enjoy sports they just want to be Skip Bayless without the money.

Stat padding is all about intentions and impact. If a player does everything in his power on offense and defense to help his team win regardless of the teams roster then that is not stat padding. If a player cherry picks on defense and only get his numbers on offense that has little impact on winning then that’s stat padding.

Nah. If you're going to discuss numbers and statistics, make numerical and statistical benchmarks for what stat-padding is and isn't. This vague shyt won't cut it.

This isn't "clutch gene" or whatever ethereal, impossible to quantify hater narrative y'all glom onto where it's purely subjective.

Give facts :pachaha:

if you are a starter with no real backup

and winning by alot or losing by alot

and still in the game getting garbage buckets

you are stat padding

if you are getting blown out by 20, nikkas are basically gonna let you score your easy buckets cause its already a wrap for you at the end

thats what was dope and under appreciated by Kobe
he always shot games into being close (most times)
and you knew he was going to gun and could potentially beat you
so you had to just throw double and triple teams at him
he wasnt padding he was going for the W

kyrie I think was up 20 in that 60 point game last week, I may be wrong
he was on fire so it didnt count as much ... but they could have easily pulled him
his shyt was fringe, cause he wasnt getting easy buckets but he didnt need to be in at all at that point

one aspect not talked about is how dumb ass fans get confused stat wise between players who have help and players who dont
you cant judge a guy alone compared to a guy with another all star... the stats and focus is completely different
too many people are like "he left the squad and now he's killing" yeah he's killing because hes the only guy on the new team... he literally shoots 30% more shots and has the playbook built around him now

or when a dude like Bosh goes to Miami, people are like "he fell off" he didnt fall off... he's in his 3rd spot role now... its still the same dude

Paul George is a perfect example of this
Buckets and Leadership in Indiana
worked well with Russ with him taking pressure off and more open shots (people get confused here like he somehow got better)
now he's worked into Clippers squad and he will level off because there's more weapons on the team
still the same player really just different role

It won’t matter. Conversation will still be about 3 players who aren’t even gonna be in the playoffs.
MJ, Bron, and Kobe :francis:
This isn’t a good look for the NBA at all.

I always say

nobody cares about these new nikkas man

they may hype them up when they have a great game, or have an amazing dunk/play.

but people are NOT INVESTED in this new generation on either side (love/hate)

I think the NBA will be fine, but it’s still a little concerning.

One thing I’ve learned being on here is a lot of the coliseum don’t care about the NBA like that. They care more about specific players than teams. The NBA is just reality TV for them
