steph is a better player in my opinion but the gap is nowhere near as big as people try to make it seem. Put Dame on those warriors squad and he probably has multiple rings as well.
Except he wouldn't.

Warriors would've won ZERO rings if you replaced Steph with Dame.

Warriors wouldn't have won in 2015
Warriors wouldn't have defeated the Thunder in 2016, which meant KD would've never left OKC to play in GS.

The Warriors would still be going through dark times if they had Dame instead of Steph.

The distance between them isn’t as vast as people try to make it. Steph was playing in a well oiled machine with Klay, Dray, Igoudala, Livingston and shooters. Lilliard was playing with CJ. You put Steph on Portland from 2014-2019, he probably doesn’t make it out the West. You put Lilliard on GS from 2014-2019, even if Steph is slightly better, they still winning three rings and I don’t see Lillard having a bad finals in 2015 like Steph in this scenario. This season showed Steph would fare exactly the same as Dame without his cast.

Yall Dame stans always bring up Curry. Why? Yall always attach him to a player he's supposedly better than. Yall said he was a better player, Steph drops 62 on his head. Yall said he had more range, his ducks Steph in the 3pt contest. Hell he even tweeted that Steph is the greatest shooter of all time. Yall want that man to be Steph’s equal so bad but he's not. Just appreciate the man for the talent he is and stop trying to make him out to be something he isn't.

No he wouldnt :why:

Dame cant excel in the system that GS uses.

Picture Dame in a system when he doesnt have the ball in his hands all the time

Curry is better one on one, but all in all, I don’t think there’s as big a gap in non-ideal situations as the coli would have you think. I don’t think Dame would have any less rings

The biggest gaps between the two is Curry’s ability to play passing lanes and Dame being arguably the clutchest player alive. But they ain’t that far away. Dame is also a better pure point guard imo too

Dude played in those systems lol. Getting marginally more shots up than Wes Matthews, Batum getting heavy touches as a quasi-point forward, and Aldridge was the center piece of their scheme for quite a few seasons.
