You mean to tell me you need another star in order to win? I would have never guessed this.

Yall Dame stans always bring up Curry. Why? Yall always attach him to a player he's supposedly better than. Yall said he was a better player, Steph drops 62 on his head. Yall said he had more range, his ducks Steph in the 3pt contest. Hell he even tweeted that Steph is the greatest shooter of all time. Yall want that man to be Steph’s equal so bad but he's not. Just appreciate the man for the talent he is and stop trying to make him out to be something he isn't.
No one is a Dame stan im just using logic, Dame Lillard has never had a top level team like Steph Curry and even then has had some impressive playoff performances and you can honestly say hes even overachieved with what hes given

remember steph was on the verge of beign what Dame is now if Jackson didnt get fired and Kerr didnt step in, Portland hanging onto to Terry Stotts so long stifled their development

and this is not to take away from Steph hes fantastic but yall are seriously wilding with these takes and purposely not using context, Steph is seriously becoming the most overrated player ive ever heard talked about and im dead serious

Dame Lillard is like today's Reggie Miller. He's a fun and good mid-level opponent for other stars so that there is some reasonable opposition to overcome but he's never gonna be the real hero of the story.

Steph is like today's Isiah Thomas. He's the antagonist to the main star of the era but he's also never gonna be the top dog.

You said Dame is the same player as Steph and say Steph is overrated? You literally underrate him by making this thread. Yall seriously be acting like Dame is playing with bums. So when they got swept by the Pelicans and CJ was the leading scorer all 4 games was Dame playing with bums? When they got swept by the Warriors with CJ averaging nearly as much as Dame were they bums? Like I said yall always want to make excuses for Dame and try to put him on a level that he's not. I've never seen so many excuses for a player. Like I said Dame is a great player but he is not Curry’s equal.

And similar to Isiah, he had his chance to be top dog. But some crucial games cost him. (2016 finals game 7, 2019 finals game 6, this year's play-in games)

But you never know, there's still time :manny:
Stephen Curry had many great playoff games than awful ones. There's a reason why he has three rings.

Based off what?
Based on the fact that the 2015 Warriors team didn't have a single hall of fame player in the team. Steph as the man of the team led his team to a title. Go look at Steph's playoffs run statistics and see how efficient he is and successful in the postseason compare to Dame. You will see a significant difference.

The distance between them isn’t as vast as people try to make it. Steph was playing in a well oiled machine with Klay, Dray, Igoudala, Livingston and shooters. Lilliard was playing with CJ. You put Steph on Portland from 2014-2019, he probably doesn’t make it out the West. You put Lilliard on GS from 2014-2019, even if Steph is slightly better, they still winning three rings and I don’t see Lillard having a bad finals in 2015 like Steph in this scenario. This season showed Steph would fare exactly the same as Dame without his cast.

Not true

That "well-oiled machine" works BECAUSE of Curry.

People always talk about how Draymond and Klay mask Curry's defensive flaws, but it goes both ways. Draymond Green's offense is a product of Curry, and Currys off ball movement helps nullify Klay's lack of ball handling ability.

Evry single metric shows how much the Warriros drop with Steph off the court.

Damian's lack of off-ball movement alone will hurt them

True, it's not a fair comparison. Curry's peak was literally a top 5 season ever and best player in the league for 2 years.

What I brought up would put him in the GOAT debate right now, but even then, like I said, he still has time.

I HATE yall nikkas saying "Curry had top level teams".

Those 2015 and 2016 rosters were REGULAR SOLID TEAMS. NOT "GREAT" OR "TOP LEVEL".

Y'all overrate them to knock Curry. Go ahead and act like Draymond would even be a long-tenured starter on another team. Or like Klay would be the 2nd greatest shooter ever another team. Or like Iguodala would be getting his jersey number retired on another team.

nikkas didn't even think those teams were even good enough for Curry to carry to the Finals. There's a reason why Klay Thompson was rumored to be traded.
