Explain a logical reason someone can hate on the season Steph is having right now.........:sas1:
Nobody is hating on Steph, just people are hyping him up to insane levels.

He's not even clearly better than Lebron right now yet people are trying to make him all-time great. Tracy McGrady has had similar seasons and nobody is putting him on an all-time great list because he couldn't sustain it. And before you bring up the team success argument, let's not forget that TMac carried a team featuring Pat Garrity, Bo Outlaw and Darrell fukking Armstrong to the playoffs. Overall, the point is you can't crown a guy as all-time great after two great seasons. Steph is certainly amazing, but legacies are cemented after years of proving them--the crowning of Steph is just happening too quickly.

The dummies have convinced themselves that he plays like his most impressive highlights, all game every game. They dont realize or dont want to acknowledge that a lot of his shots come from open looks/mismatches on the break, and from open looks created by dozens of illegal screens and uncalled holding every game. Like defenders are just forgetting to stay close to Steph and remember he wants to shoot the three. :dead:
I called this shyt out last year and got labeled a hater.

Pathetic NBA that we currently have. Ever since i've started seriously paying attention to the NBA, i've become utterly disgusted with how the game has progressed. Tons of ticky tack fouls, refs controlling the game, whiny, disingenious media, half court trick shots being considered "elite" offense, rise of analytics, etc, the game is starting suck terribly.

I think i'll be mainly a football and soccer fan going forward. Today's NBA is a bullshyt product, real talk.

He's the MVP of the league and about to get another one while being on the best team in NBA history. That deserves a crown.

I mean, he's clearly been better than LeBron this seaso

I don't see many people crowning Steph as a top 25 player all time or anything, that all time list ESPN put out received massive backlash and most generally don't believe that stuff. All people are acknowledging is that he's playing on a level that can be compared with anyone in league history offensively. Like there are guys in the top 30 all time who have never played on this high of a level before and thats something that should be taken note of. Gets amplified x1000 when his team produces the best offense of the modern era, are on a historical run led by a guy who is going to be a b2b MVP and are the reigning champs favored to wih another.

Sure he needs longevity to prove his worth among the all time list, but the comparisons to other greats in terms of peak play is just fine. Its fair to compare '03 T mac to Kobe, West, Wade & Jordan just for that one year & generally players don't fall of a cliff like he did when reaching that level of play.

The shyt that kills me with this MVP talk is that Steph plays with a top 5 all around player in Draymomd..who can control the offesnse with his facilitating just as good if not better than Steph and Klay Thompson who on many nights has shown he's just as good if not better than Steph at shooting. Not to mention their bench scoring

This dude can literally go 2-13 from three and get cooked by top tier pgs but his team still wins by 10+ points because they have 4 nikkas on the squad that shoot above 38% from three. I'm not takin anything away from his season but you can't put him close to the Lebron/Kobe/Mj convo based on stats and advanced metrics alone. I can't see current Steph leading the 06 Lakers to the playoffs or the 07 Cavs to the Finals..no way in hell.

Scottie Pippen was a top 5 all around player, Bron played with a prime Wade.
