Breh this is my point. I've seen MJ, Kobe Bron and just about any other great player be the obvious dominate player on the court and they've never been put in a Box to finish a game. Never

Is Steph THAT feared? He's that great that this man had to use a BOX n One in the FINALS? I'm a huge Curry fan but even I don't think he's this great to cause NBA defenses to basically not guard the rest of his team

This is a straight up lie

Even guys like Kemba and John Wall get put into box and ones. Harden saw a ton of that this season as well

Zone usage has increased dramatically the past few seasons

he is that good to try it as a tactic or to send a message but obviously its not something they can outside of spots here and there. we have never seen a player like him. think of Ray Allen (shooting and off ball movement) combined with passing ability of say Lebron. the best thing you can do against a player like that is try to limit his touches as much as you can.

It worked? I seem to recall Iggy hitting a 3 and the Dubs winning.
:mjlol:

Nick Nurse went all out to stop one player and it cost him. He tipped his hand to soon. Warriors will prepare for it now
He yelled for them to foul dray. Not his fault. :yeshrug:

BECAUSE THE OBJECTIVE WASNT TO STOP HIM
FROM SCORING.
DUDE MADE 6 fukkING SHOTS.

IT WAS TO PRESSURE THE BALL
AND FORCE EARLY SHOTS
TO CONSERVE TIME YOU DUMB ASS nikka.

idiot ass a Box n One. is the most respect a player can pretty much get from a defense. I keep telling people, I don't need the media to tell me who's the best player. The DEFENSE tells me who they respect above all else.

Listen to how the coach describes the player he's trying to stop with a Box. This is what Nick Nurse thinks about Steph Curry :russ:

I would do that too if there are no other shooters out there like Durant and Klay. It pretty much worked considered neiher Curry or anyone else was getting buckets once Klay left the game:ehh:

From Atlanta to San Fran to LA 4now
YOU DONT HAVE A POINT
YOURE JUST dikkSUCKING.

ITS ALREADY BEEN POINTED OUT
STEPH ONLY HAD 4 BUCKETS IN THE 2ND QRT
AND 2 BUCKETS IN THE 3RD QRT.

HE HAD A VERY SUB PAR GAME BEFORE
THEY WENT TO THE BOX AND 1.

ITS ALSO ALREADY BEEN POINTED OUT
THEY WENT TO IT BECAUSE THEY WERE DOWN 10 AND NEEDED TO PRESSURE THE BALL.

It's not about the buckets casual the fact the defense over plays him creates shots for other people he doesn't have to force shots. Watch the game not the stat sheet :hhh: We have never seen this jv type of defense in the league literally full court box and 1 deny ball. Its greatness and it shows the curry affect/system :blessed:

Dude this is NOT the same defense Curry faced in the 4th quarter. He was not allowed to dribble into the teeth of the defense like that. :what: He would immediately be trapped way before he even got to the 3pt line. That's what Toronto was doing.

Heck at the end, the Raptors was trying to trap him before he even got past halfcourt :pachaha:

Cot damn now I see why the old regulars who made the old site and the first couple years of this site enjoyable with actual basketball analysis left. Nothing but hot takes and nikkas legit on the spectrum here now.

I'm actually reading that because the Raptors offense went cold it means the defense they played to hold GS to ONE FG in 5 minutes wasn't effective. I don't understand where the shyt yall type comes from at all. Like seriously during the Portland series when Klay or Steph were out there by themselves you were begging the D to sell out on them since nobody else could score. Nick Nurse does that, holds them to 3 points in 5 minutes, and mind you they very easily could have turned the ball over on the play in which they scored the 3 points, and nikkas in here saying it wasn't effective.

No smilies needed here, because I legit think a good portion of yall are slow. And that's not a laughing matter.
Some of these cats just like to talk. It's sad

@CHICAGO is talking like a casual box score watcher instead of actually breaking down the game. :snoop:

The man actually said the use of a Box n One wasn't about stopping Curry but to create Ball Pressure. :mjlol:

Again, Coaches and defenses TELL you by their scheme what they think of everybody on the court and how much value they give to each player. Stop listening to Media Hot takes and analyze the game you dopes.

This is the NBA, this defense is not workable. It shocked the Warriors because nobody disrespects NBA players like that but believe me, they will carve this simple ass defense up if it's tried again. Too many set plays to run against a Box. It works on High Schoolers and Middle Schoolers because they don't have enough players that can shoot or dribble.

This was the proverbial "throwing everything but the kitchen sink" at Curry trying to win and they still lost. :heh:

:stopitslime:oh now Steph is the only one who gets trapped at half court?

Harden had been facing this for years

I feel like this really highlights how much basketball there is to watch in the world

This D has been used by multiple teams, and players + fans alike are saying they haven’t seen it in sometime

Jv type defense too is a talking point I keep hearing

A zone could be looked at like the same way, what’s a juvenile defense? You do what you need to do given the situation on the court

A full court press is a high school D and teams run them at the end of games on all levels

Dude is a clown that goes out of his way to discredit anything or anybody that threatens anything Jordan or that dynasty related. Extremely insecure for no reason really.
In middle school i was apart of a team that had to box and 1 a player. It's the ultimate, "The rest of yall nikkas ain't shyt, anybody but u" approach . Defense is the ultimate homage to the player being boxed, there is no way to spin that.
Its really a hit piece on yo squad's pride that u feel yall even have to do that to ensure a player doesn't get off :snoop:. Dont no team wanna be told in not so many words by the coach, that "I ont think yall can sustain containing such and such"

@CHICAGO so there isn't any confusion :stopitslime:
