ADD IN THE FACT DRAY WAS 5-6 ON THE NITE
AND IGGY HADNT BEEN TO THE LINE YET...

IT WAS DAMN NEAR A GUARANTEE HE WOULD MISS ATLEAST ONE.

Yea I'll concede that point but at that point, I just don't think there was enough time to wait to foul iggy and we see how it worked out. Even after they got the ball in his hands there was nobody around to hack him due to the extra attention to steph.

Kawhi was nowhere near iggy. He was guarding Livingston on the other side of the court. When Livingston flashed to the ft line to help curry iggy was on the left wing wide open with nobody within 10 feet. Whether kawhi gambled or not, he wouldn't have been able to foul andre.

@CHICAGO is right. What’s embarrassing about a defence that almost won the game?? Of course it only works cuz Klay is hurt but if GSW role players are ass and Steph is a monster, it only makes sense.

One thing I’ve learned in life is to always simply do what works, regardless of how conventional or popular it is.
That wasn't the case tho. Steph's teammates stepped up all night to pick up his poor shooting. I don't even see how y'all keep saying it almost won them the game. They were never in a position to win the game.

GS IS PRETTY MUCH DONE HERE
IF KAWHI DOESNT GAMBLE.

FVV & PASCAL ACTUALLY THOUGHT
KAWHI STOLE THE BALL
AND BEGAN RUNNING BACK THE OTHER DIRECTION
WHICH IS WHY NO ONE WAS ABLE TO GET TO IGGY.

GAVE CURRY A LANE TO THE BASKET
SO GASOL HAD TO STEP IN FRONT OF THE RIM
INSTEAD OF RUNNING OUT TO IGGY.

KAWHI fukkED EVERYTHING UP WITH THE GAMBLE.

It didn't work because they lost. It wasn't even a smart strategy seeing as how steph struggled most of the night and it allowed other guys to get some rhythm and confidence. Iggy had all the time in the world to line up that 3 to ice the game because they were in scramble mode after trapping steph. I know I know, "bu bu they almost got the steal".

its not at all why they lost. its why they were able to get back in the game in the first place. youre focusing on macro when everyone is talking micro

no one on the floor for gs was able to get rhythm or gain confidence, hence why gs had a scoring drought for 5 minutes before the iggy shot. what are you even saying rn?

iggy having a wide open 3 also had nothing to do with the box and one strategy itself. siakam ran down the floor thinking they had the steal and he wasnt able to recover back to contest

They only did it because Klay went down and there were a bunch of non-shooters on the floor besides Steph. It’s not like Steph was having a great game before they went to this defense.

Warriors fans all playing this ridiculous "it didnt work" game to further their preferred (false) narrative of Curry being legendary and unstoppable despite another below average game.

Its quite shameless and transparent.

Nope. Siakham was the designated double on curry for that possession. He stayed with the double on curry even after steph gave it up the first time. Even if siakham doesn't start running down the court thinking kawhi stole the ball, curry still makes that cut to the basket drawing van fleet and siakham with him. Siakahm was out of position when curry split the double. He was the closet player to half court at the point with everybody else in front of him. Iggy gets that shot at worst regardless of kawhi's gamble.

Besides, you can't fault kawhi for gambling on a pass like that anyway. You've just got to give it to Livingston for going to get it.
