Curry is better than Thomas ever was, and Kidd doesn't even belong in this conversation.

When did this happen?

Zeke never outplayed Jordan in a series. The Pistons just beat them because they had a better team, and it didn't help when Scottie got hit an elbow to the temple by Lambieer in '89

I was gonna quote dude and say the same thing but he said playoff games. There's like 2-3 games where zeke had a better game than jordan :ld:

There's also several games where zeke scored in single digits and had bad shooting games and the pistons still won.The late 80's bulls didn't have that luxury, if jordan struggled they were getting washed

Your slick distortion of my argument is noted as well. I said game, not series.

this doesn't make sense, he's outplayed Kyrie Irving in multiple games.

Who's approaching MJ here? Zeke was NEVER close to Jordan, and it's reaching to say that he beat Jordan/Bird/Magic when that was a full team effort.

Argue the points I make. Making up your own arguments to attack proves my point

The pistons success was a team effort. By the time they won the titles in 1989 and 1990 Thomas wasn't even making all NBA teams anymore. His last all NBA team was before Detroit even made the finals (1987).

Did you just selectively employ a list that ranks Larry Nance ahead of all kinds of MVPs and perennial MVP candidates as proof of...

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Too early to rank Steph. A lot of career left for better and possibly worse. It's clear we have seen his peak, and doubtful he approaches that level again.

Oh wow you found one outlier, you're right lets throw out the whole stat. :beli:

I just assumed you weren't actually trying to use individual games separated across years between two players who have met 65 times over the course of their careers with a massive discrepancy in average performance. Given that sample size you can say the same for Curry.

Do I need to point out all the other things that make this list goofy so you'll walk back the "one outlier" nonsense? Or are you really going to pretend VORP or any other selectively employed, problematic stat definitively proves Barkley is better than Tim Duncan, Larry Nance is better than Patrick Ewing, etc. etc.? Don't let your disdain for Steph turn you into a propagandist.

He doesn't want to acknowledge that part

Just playoff games makes more sense, but even then it's not like Isiah's defense had a lot to do with the Pistons defensive strategy against Jordan. With the way they played him, there are a lot of players including Curry you could put in that situation and say they outplayed MJ for a couple games.
