@really I know exactly what I'm in here "arguing" about. You think that since we have a black president, black folks dominate sports and that we are free from slavery, that black people in 2014 are free from racial discrimination and are free from the chains of systematic racism and white supremacy.

And why the fukk are u bringing up the gatdamn civil war for? :mindblown: White people in the north were not fighting for the sake of freeing slaves. Do some research on that before you speak on that.

People are saying all the facts were out by the time the Heat posted that instagram pic, like they know for 1,0000% fact Kobe follows the news religiously to keep up with all the bullshyt. They actually feel they KNOW this for a fact.:why:

@really what "bullshyt" do you speak of? :mjpls: I wouldn't call the murder if an unarmed teen "bullshyt"

And if Kobe isn't educated enough about a national story of this magnitude, then that nikka should shut the fukk up and not make himself look and sound ignorant.

You over there makin excuses for Kobe because "he didn't follow the news religiously " :camby:

If We all jump to conclusions based on race how come Kobe is lecturing one side. Why not point out the supporter of Zimmerman's not knowing the facts?

Breh I've seen you post quite a bit about Bryant Gumbel these last couple days. No hate but I remember when I was in high school Bryant Gumbel being synonymous with Uncle Tom. I legit don't know of any instances where he went to bat for black folk so guide me.

You're going off an old perception of Bryant Gumbel dog. He been shook that image. He still sounds the same and still fukks with blonde bytches named Bridget but he is very out spoken especially when it comes to blacks in sports.

"Finally, tonight, the Winter Games. Count me among those who don’t like them and won’t watch them ... Because they’re so trying, maybe over the next three weeks we should all try too. Like, try not to be incredulous when someone attempts to link these games to those of the ancient Greeks who never heard of skating or skiing. So try not to laugh when someone says these are the world’s greatest athletes, despite a paucity of blacks that makes the Winter Games look like a GOP convention. :heh:

Try not to point out that something’s not really a sport if a pseudo-athlete waits in what’s called a kiss-and-cry area, while some panel of subjective judges decides who won ... :banderas:

So if only to hasten the arrival of the day they’re done, when we can move on to March Madness — for God’s sake, let the games begin." :camby:

The people supporting Zimmerman don't care about the facts. In fact, they want to make up lies about Trayvon to try to justify what happened.

Are you trying to defend him? :what: Because by saying he didn't even know anything about the case he was commenting on, you're making his comments sound even MORE ignorant than what people are suggesting.

You could argue this is where he was wrong because the implication is that he's assuming LeBron and Co. didn't do their research and made a decision without knowing the full story. I don't think he's wrong for attaching it to this case though. Obviously we know all the details now but I believe he's speaking on the perspective of someone who may not know anything about the case.

Let me put it like this: If you heard of a case where a [insert race 1] man kills a [insert race 2] teenager but you do not know any of the details beyond that and you come to the conclusion that the [race 1] man was wrong in killing the kid, you just made a baseless judgement of the [race 1] man. Could race have been involved? Sure. But until you know all of the facts and details of the situation it's wise to not jump to conclusions.

So then he either needs to educate himself or shut the fukk up. It's one thing to say "I was unaware of the facts at the time." however he didn't say that. He blatantly implied that the Heat and everyone else who reacted like they did to the Travyon situation at the time didn't know what was going on AND that there were no facts to support their stance AND intentionally obfuscated the issue by trying to turn it into an issue of waiting for the facts and being race-baited. Or in other words he was trying too hard to come off as superior intellectually on some "I'm better than Bron" shyt.

If I heard of any grown ass man killing an unarmed teenager in the middle of the street and not getting arrested I would be suspicious and likely inclined to attempt to learn more about it at some point in the next two years. :yeshrug:

It's sad because I know the point Kobe is trying to make but to use the Heat and Martin as the example is incredibly stupid. It would different if he used something like the Duke lacrosse case or something like that. I'm not mad at his underlying point but he completely stepped on his own point with that dumb ass example. Not to mention the Heat and more importantly Lebron played a part in trying to bring attention to the issue. Not to mention to lead you need at act as if you are of the people not above them and his interview makes him just come off as somebody saying how much smarter he is than the average black person. Straight up on some "I'm not one of them" types.

This is my issue. That is the only issue. He was asked about the Heat/Trayvon...not race relations or how quickly he reacts to things or anything else that people are attempting to make this discussion about. He was not making a general point. He tried to make that point in direct reference to Trayvon and that's the problem. The fact that people are running with this "it was a valid point" piece is :mindblown:. It was not a valid point in regards to what he was actually talking about.
