This is a tough one for me because I am a Mexican who grew up in a rough part of Los Angeles with blacks but since I am not black I am not really in a position to comment on that struggle so it is different from the one I grew up with and IMO was/is much worse. That is also the reason I do not use the N word, that and the fact that it is corny for any non black to use that word. We got our own lingo in LA for browns and the N word makes you seem like a wanna be. I also grew up a Stan of Kobe since 98 and have seen him play all over LA from staples, to the sports arena, forum, galen center and Pauly pavilion. Dude is my all time favorite athlete. But I will say that he messed up here. He owes his people for standing behind him during the rape trial. There are still ESPN cacs that hate him for that and it really is on some low key racial $hit. I get what he is trying to say in a way because I say the same things about voting for people just cause of the color of their skin. Our opinion as a minority gets discounted because of our simple mindedness when it comes to blindly choosing sides based on last name or skin color. But he was wrong to choose such an example to make his point. GZ should be in jail for second degree or at least manslaughter. If he would have made that clear he might have avoided the backlash he is receiving. And even though I am LWO to the core I cannot support his statement here. Hopefully he learns from this and reexamines his position about his people, their struggle and his place in society.
This is the new chess move that c00ns/crackers are using to perpetuate white racism. Arsenio needs to be called out as well because he sat up there and not only cosigned but he added to Smith's bullshyt by bringing up Tawana Brawley. All of this "we should just wait on the facts, we can't act like we haven't come along way in this country, we can't complain about racism if we're racist ourselves" are nothing but comments meant to create a smoke screen. All of that shyt is completely irrelevant to the Trayvon Martin case. The Heat's photo-op was made to bring attention to the case because reasonable people felt that Zimmerman should've at least been arrested and charged for the killing of Martin. There was certainly enough facts available to determine that Zimmerman should've at least been arrested and charged. This video clip was disgusting.
