This is why SAS is still employed on these shows. He says exactly what people from upstairs want him to say. He's the ultimate sellout.
None of them NBA players in Memphis are living in bad conditions. They spend a lot of time in training facilities, etc. They are not spending their free time somewhere in the hood like they have to check in on some Stephen Jackson shyt
This is SAS getting a command from upstairs to talk shyt about a small market team to create more bad public image on their city.
I'm not gonna lie to you...I've met several people who moved from Memphis and they all said that Memphis full of hating ass, jealous mofos and they ain't tryna go back

Anyone who has ever lived in Memphis will tell you, that ain’t the spot you want to be. Especially if you have money.
It’s hard to think of a “major” city where it would be worse to live as a person with money.
Even for a middle of the road nikka such as myself the city was trash.
That shyt looks like it stopped developing in ‘88. You go downtown and the buildings look like they from the Soviet Union, no joke.
The hood is everywhere. You cannot escape from the hood, no matter where you go in Memphis. The hood is always 1 street over.
I used to see players hanging out in the most random of places. Out in the suburbs. Not even a nice bar or restaurant, but those joints that be adjacent to the grocery store. I straight up asked Conley why he out here and he told me because “ain’t nobody out here but families just going about their day to day”.
This right here. There's plenty of teams you missed in cities with worse crime than Memphis. Bet that balding fakkit won't call those cities out thoYou can say that about more nba cities than just Memphis.
Detroit, Oakland, Philly, DC, New Orleans, Houston. Thing is Athletes aren’t living inthe high crimes area of those metro areas.
So it’s worse than Oakland, Camden, or Baltimore? Was in Memphis for a couple of hours on a road trip. The only mid sized to major city I had to keep my head on a swivel… and I was in the business district before evening hours. New Orleans is like DC or Chicago compared to Memphis.
It’s not a pro sports city at all.
Their lease is up in 2027 so I can see Nashville, Seattle or Vegas for them.
I been outside late in Oakland and Bmore. Memphis scared me more.So it’s worse than Oakland, Camden, or Baltimore?
And when that day comes and people don't feel sorry for him or have his back, It will only be his faultSAS is what happens when you genuinely start to believe your own hype. His inevitable humbling once he's served his purpose and is no longer needed is going to be absolutely nasty.
And this is how the Nashville Grizzlies would come to be
mark my word, if the grizzlies start tanking, they will be in Nashville within a decade.
Nashville is way more feasible. And it fixes the NBAs problem with expansion. Currently the NBA has 30 teams (15 and 15). If the Grizz went to Nashville, became an Eastern Conference team...the NBA could expand into Vegas AND Seattle in the same year and even the number to 32 NBA teams.
And it makes more sense.
Nashville is closer to Atlanta, Charlotte and Indianapolis than Memphis is to OKC, New Orleans, and Dallas. Instant rivalry between Atlanta and Nashville. And a Nashville team would get all the Kentucky Basketball fans.
It'd be risky as the NBA hasn't had two teams expand in 1 conference since 88. But the NBA has to expand by two teams in one year anyway, might as well be in one conference.
NBA will expand into Vegas first,
Grizz will move to Nashville....and go to the Eastern Conference.
Then Seattle will get a team.
been saying this for yearsNashville is getting both an MLB team and an NBA team in the next decade. More than likely the grizzlies will move there. Nashville has a booming economy, as well as the infrastructure to support pro teams
If you talking Murder Capitol DC wasn’t nothin like it. When I got to college at Morgan state and messing with chicks out there who lived in Baltimore, I used to think to myself all time that Baltimore reminded me of DC inthe 90’s . One chick sued to always be warning me when I used to come see her and I had to tell her after a couple of warnings, that it’s cool, I understand this and I know how to move in these areas.I been outside late in Oakland and Bmore. Memphis scared me more.
I think the issue is it looks like it stopped building in 1985, like @The_Sheff said.
In fact it reminded me of 90s DC, post drug wars but before gentrification.
