what scenario? we haven't even hit the summer yet
let's wait and see what magic and rob have up their sleeves before we jump to conclusions
I believe he went there in the hopes of being able to pair with a TIER ONE superstar (Kawhi, AD, KD) if not this year then next year at the latest. That doesnt seem likely now that
A. Kawhi may very well stay in TOR or may find the LAC situation more enticing due to the lack of media circus and them having space for 2 max slots next year plus a good group of role players already
B. KD has let it be known that he thinks the circus that follows lebron is toxic. Plus I think if KD doesn't stay with the Warriors he will be on a mission next year to truly lead a team as a number one option to a ring. He won't get that playing with Lebron
C. AD still has to turn down the supermax that the Pelicans will throw at him AND the pelicans would have to turn down offers from better suitors (Boston) for him to even stand a chance of ending up in LA next year
Paul George didn't wanna do it
Jimmy Butler didn't wanna do it
We all know Kyrie didn't wanna do it
Klay Thompson ain't leaving that situation in Golden State
So now we are at the point where REALISTIC help is gonna come from guys like
Kemba
Bradley Beal
Mike Conley
Marc Gasol
And MAYBE they can atone for the mistake they made last year by not signing Boogie for the low if he moves on from Golden State next year.
Those guys, while good, are probably not the caliber of star Bron was expecting to team up with in LA.
Anything can happen at this point but imo it doesn't look good for LAL free agency next year.
