The issue is kaep supporters are being idealistic. And Steven A smith is being pragmatic. And being idealistic wont get you a job if that is your end goal. At a certain point you gotta deal with the reality and not about how you feel things should be. Life's not fair. You can either deal with it or cry about it.

He's really not. He's pretending he's pragmatic, but in reality he's been attacking Kaep from jump and then getting defensive when people are coming back at his ass. A pragmatic argument would've taken into account how false the NFL's workout opportunity was. Him and almost every other black man on ESPN's roster has been coming out in defense of the NFL for the past handful of days and then on the back end they have one counterpoint that's pro-Colin hidden on their undefeated site. This is a coordinated front by a few different people to come at Colin, but SAS is getting it because he's the loudest one of the mouthpieces.

I agree ...... this doesn’t mean I agree with how the NFL played this whole situation.

two things

If Kap did this because he wants to expose the league, and had no real intention of playing again, I’m all for it.

If he really wants to play and his reaction to the league fukkery was to throw a wrench in their game plan, I’m all for it

However I think there is self serving interest on both sides, I think Kap realizes this is his brand now. I think it’s a bit played up for the public.

You don't know that to be true. SAS opinion is based on the premise that a team was actually going to sign him if he went along with it based on his sources. That theory was floating around from the beginning cause it never made sense for the NFL to do this now in the first place when everyone had forgotten about kaep and he was irrelevant 2 weeks ago.

But if you or kaep believe it was never a legit opportunity then he could have turned them down in advance without the theatrics. That part was on kaep. He had full control over how he responded.
