63.4% vs 64.6% is pretty insignificant especially when league average has trended upwards which would probably imply that it's easier to finish today, there's so much space in today's game and it's obvious just from watching. I think Kobe was a better finisherCurry is just as good at finishing around the rim as Kobe was and better at the line. Sure bean had a far better post game, but Curry almost shoots better from distance than Kobe did from the field. Are we strictly talking volume scoring? That’s a terrible way of judging someone’s ability as a scorer unless both players are playing in the same type of circumstances.
From 2010 to 2016 (since that coincided with Curry's time) Kobe made 64.1% of his 0-3 and 64.6% from 2010-2013, and I can assure you Kobe was practically injured through that entire stretch.
Curry's PS 0-3 could be attributed to the era but also due to prime age as Curry has never been in the playoffs outside of his prime, if you look at Kobe in the same age group they shot 0-3 at 64%, but that is a small sample size for both
Interestingly enough Kobe was a much better shooter from 3-10 feet in both RS and PS, Curry shoots better from midrange but not significantly enough to counter Kobe's far more constant shot creation from midrange, but it's close.
All Curry really has is 3 point shooting, he's not a better scorer.
