It was a good job when he got hired

Was it though? Everybody knew that team had ran its course as they were literally scrapping up ways to remain competitive. People forget that Harden could have opted out of his contract after next season anyways and leave Harden, so it’s only going to be a matter of when he asked to be traded. People also forget that it was apparent for years that Tilman Fertitta was having moneys and cutting salary of a once championship contender team. That team was not going to be competitive even with Westbrook on the roster.

So why would Harden have stayed in the long run? Every coaching job isn’t a good one as someone else mentioned in this thread. It’s just the hand that Silas got dealt.

He just ended his coaching career tonight

no one wants or respects a coach who cries in public after losses

soft and weak
that’s why harden left

if he doesn’t come through in Houston, I don’t think he is getting another HC job again

He should have never taken that coaching job if we're keeping honest. The writing was on the wall, yet he let the allure of coaching Harden blind him into taking the job.
I don’t even think it was that dude figured he paid his dues and was ready to be a head coach... Look how long he was an assistant head coach... shyt is unfortunate tho because he don’t deserve that shyt going on in Houston

He could have waited a bit longer. Anybody who took that job was going to end up in a fukked up situation regardless. Unfortunately, I just hate that it had to be him. Harden could have opted out after next season anyways, so they were going to be in rebuild mode regardless.
