Why does everything have to be luck? You know, teams have professional scouts who look into these players and make informed decisions when drafting. So, because GSW draft picks have developed into good players, its luck? Biggest load of shyt. Players are supposed to develop and become better. Hell, OKC has drafted well and at one point had Durant, Westbrook, Green, Harden AND Ibaka - they just decided not to pay one of them.
Steph is making only $10M because while he had the talent, he was oft injured and GSW didn't want to give him the max - which is understandable. That should not be considered luck as much as smart decision making.
Klay already got his contract extension so he's good.
Draymond was taken in the second round and is working out for them - he'll get paid in the offseason so I'm not quite sure what the issue is.
Steph and Westbrook are different in the way they approach the game. To say Steph couldn't do what Westbrook is doing is a bit one sided; if the roles were reversed, could Westbrook do what Steph is doing for an entire season? I take nothing away from Westbrook - what he's doing for his squad is amazing.
I think what is really understated is that with all the talent that they do have, they have some how managed to make it work. There have been teams that have been talented and can never get it right. These guys from what I have seen do not have egos and play some very cohesive basketball. Let these boys cook.
