Steph's team is loaded, he couldn't do what Westbrook is doing

If Teams could load up on him he wouldn't be doing what he's doing. He isn't a physical force enough. Teams can't even dream about doubling Steph.

Teams Double Russ and use zones and still can't stop him.

You can't double Curry like that either. He's an ungodly good ball handler that you have to play extremely closely because his shot is so fast but he's also extremely creative.

Teams use quasi-zones against Westbrook because he's an awful shooter. It'd be useless against Curry.

Curry's shooting speed is so quick that it's pretty much like trying to guard a Westbrook, Durant, or Lebron. He's pretty much just unstoppable as those 4 despite not having all the physical gifts but the end result is the same. They're almost impossible to single cover.

And more rebounds and more points.
Steph's assist rate is actually higher than Russ's. Russ is rebounding more, but that's to be expected due to his size, athleticism, mental makeup and energy. Points is moot to me because Russ is the only one who handles the rock on his team, takes by far the most shots between the two players, has a way worse percentage, plays more minutes, and his team is awful. Not saying Steph can go out and do what Russ is doing every night, but Russ's stats are inflated like crazy.

Loaded teams generally tend to have the best record in the league. One man shows tend to fight for 8th seeds. :yeshrug:. That said OKC isn't even a one man show they got talent...including a top 2 player in the L in a suit.

OP is telling the truth about the salaries and it being the main reason why Golden state is so deep. The comparisons to Russ aren't fair to me.... Russ is playing on an extremely mediocre team now and while those triple doubles are great example of what Russ is capable of, its also a bad sign that he has to do to much......

You shouldn't have to get numbers like that in today's league in order to have a chance at winning..... The reason Russ is getting them is because of subpar coaching and mediocre team play

that would be true ,except we are winning at a .68 clip since westbrook came back from his hand injury. not many people outside of Durant/LeBron/harden could do what westbrook is doing carrying different lineups.

I wasn't expecting that. I thought they'd slightly better than .500 with Westbrook and without KD. But he's just turned into a freak.

At the top.
@ModernFonzie

Why does everything have to be luck? You know, teams have professional scouts who look into these players and make informed decisions when drafting. So, because GSW draft picks have developed into good players, its luck? Biggest load of shyt. Players are supposed to develop and become better. Hell, OKC has drafted well and at one point had Durant, Westbrook, Green, Harden AND Ibaka - they just decided not to pay one of them.

Steph is making only $10M because while he had the talent, he was oft injured and GSW didn't want to give him the max - which is understandable. That should not be considered luck as much as smart decision making.

Klay already got his contract extension so he's good.

Draymond was taken in the second round and is working out for them - he'll get paid in the offseason so I'm not quite sure what the issue is.

Steph and Westbrook are different in the way they approach the game. To say Steph couldn't do what Westbrook is doing is a bit one sided; if the roles were reversed, could Westbrook do what Steph is doing for an entire season? I take nothing away from Westbrook - what he's doing for his squad is amazing.

I think what is really understated is that with all the talent that they do have, they have some how managed to make it work. There have been teams that have been talented and can never get it right. These guys from what I have seen do not have egos and play some very cohesive basketball. Let these boys cook.

So what part of what I said was that supposed to refute? Hasn't KD played in almost half of those games?

Some of the dumbest shyt I've ever read in the OP. Quick, find me all the people and publications picking the Warriors to win it all or close to 70 before the season started.

Explain why Barnes and Green are having breakouts under Kerr this season when both were near afterthoughts last year. Everybody on that team is playing the best ball of their careers and extremely efficient. I guess it's just a coincidence it's happening under Kerr.

Maybe the additions of Leandro Barbosa and Shaun Livingston are why they're so good. :smhkobe:

Get mad at teams with great management, brehs. :smhkobe:

kevin durants played in only 27 games this season. less than 1000 minutes. even when he was on the court he wasn't kevin Durant. much less then half those games.
