Neither Stevie or MJ have 3 undeniable classics and 1 arguable imo

Stevie can speak on whatever he wants to.I don't fukk with Em like that but why is Stevie Wonder valid commentary on rap music![]()

Any of you guys in here wish this had happened in the past couple of years and Steview had said it in the past couple years? I feel like alot of things said 10 years or more ago get easily forgotten because social media wasn't around. Imagine Stevie repeating what he said on social media today and letting folks who never heard about the racist tapes get a reality check.
I commend him for saying it when he did when his status was even higher, same with K-Rino and Last Emperor, but I see what you mean, it could impact more and become more of a talking point if it was said now, a lot of people I bet either didn't know about this or forgot...
If it was an incident people would remember more most probably in these times...
And as his status has decreased now could have more of an effect, people are starting to become less programmed in regards to Eminem.
established and so called respected artists..all quiet n shyt.
Exactly, you had to be in the 80s to really see how HUGE he was, explaining it doesn't do Mike Jack in his prime justice, crazy thing is as big as he was he never over exposed himself, in the history of music there's Michael Jackson and there's everybody else , great post!anyway, just wanna talk about how earth shattering mj's presence was in the 80's. that nikka was more impactful than reagan brehs. in an era of super celebrities like bill cosby, eddie murphy, oprah, whitney, madonna, prince, springsteen, stallone, schwarzenegger, tyson, jordan etc, mj was the biggest. that shyt was worldwide as well. and the same way the heavyweight champ of the world is the theoretically hardest man in the world, i felt like mjs status in pop culture made him the preeminent man in the world. perfect combination of vocals. songwriting, dancing, showmanship. imagine being a kid and seeing that shyt, nikka might as well have been a spaceship. Thriller is argualbly the greatest pop culture victory in history. think about that. every artist out here looking for recognition and respect, and this cat did that to the fullest. more than the beatles imho, and more than elvis. he made better music than them cats. i dont like elvis rock n roll ish, only his ballads as he got older. beatles make intellectual pop music, easy to respect hard to love. mj though, that shyt right to ya soul, you hear the music, see the otherworldly dancing and its like thats a once in a lifetime talent. 45 years after his arrival with the jacksons, name anyone in his wake even coming close?
how can eminems limited subject matter and appeals to resentful cacs compete with mj's world conquering humanity?

only way it would come up now is if something similar with bill cosby where like how a comedian brought back up the rape allegations, someone brinsg up eminem's tapes and cals him out for being hypocritcal calling lauryin hill a racist in an interview

This is disgraceful, he should have got aired out for this.
and not one rapper defended lauryn about it when this came out...
