Regardless of how you feel or spin it we in the same situation now as we would have been if she had caved. So yelling about coulda shoulda wouldas instead of holding the appropriate parties accountable including the minority leader in the senate who did as much to convince the GOP to take the bill as he did to fight the SC nomination being passed is moot.

His whole argument is that Pelosi should take the deal and point the finger at the Republicans and try to shame them for not passing the stimulus. What he is willfully being obtuse about is the fact that Republicans DGAF about being 'shamed.'

They held up the stimulus for months but were already talking about RBG's replacement literally minutes after she died.

The week before she died, McConnell rushed through confirming Trump's lower court appointments.

McConnell flat out admitted he was holding up stimulus talks to focus on confirming ACB, and it was reported he was telling the White House not to take any deals with Pelosi.

McConnell said for weeks he would only consider a skinny bill (that he knew wouldn't pass) of $500 billion that didn't even have the $1200 checks in it.

McConnell said back in May that the Senate Republicans didn't want to pass another stimulus bill at all.

As soon as ACB is confirmed, McConnell goes, "fukk you nikkas, we'll see you after the election. "

Like, I get that Democrats are bad at messaging compared to Republicans, but this should be more than enough ammo to shame the Republicans for not passing another stimulus.

And Pelosi taking the deal was the best way to do that? Now here you are admitting, again, that it would serve no purpose other than perceived optics in your mind.

But she doesn't need to do that because McConnell adjourned the senate until after the election.
