naw cause any new bill would most likely include retro pay. I’m thinking they’re trying to clear the rolls of as many people as they can first. The more desperate people get, the more they will start going to places like amazon and Walmart and working two or three low paying jobs. Especially with the holidays coming up.
damn, you're right. if you're that desperate, then theres a LOT of work coming up in november. its seasonal, but its money in your pocketI think she's being cautious just in case they don't win. We know there was fukkery in 2016 and there can easily be so this year too. If you pass a smaller bill and dems win then great, we can get a better bill next year; but if you pass that same small bill and dems lose, then we're all fukked again. Republicans will never pass another bill again after this one (if we even get it lol).the more I watch this I’m thinking Pelosi doesn’t believe they’re going to win next month. If she were she’d do like you said and sign this bill and wait until after the election to write up and pass new legislation.

Friend of mine has an interesting theory. He said that congress is probably waiting until everyone who signed up for UI back in March/April to run out before the add any supplemental extension. He didn’t know if you can reapply after your time frame runs out tho
She's not. She's taken up and passed legislation that will greatly benefit the American people. To be fair, she is completely playing politics over people and hurting the American people to prove her point

this is shytty theory because if unemployment is over a certain amount (I think it's like 10%), it automatically extends 13 weeks.
but....if they don't win, then there's definitely no bill comingI think she's being cautious just in case they don't win. We know there was fukkery in 2016 and there can easily be so this year too. As a state worker, I would love for her to take the 1.8 deal because there is some state funding and it would help a bit to keep some state and local jobs. I can't fault her too much for trying to go big though, just in case the worst happens and dems don't end up winning![]()
this would be her final shot. you SHOULD want her to take this billpost is blatantly wrongShe's not. She's taken up and passed legislation that will greatly benefit the American people.
The only reason Americans don't have money is because McConnell refuses to take up the bill.
You only need a handful of Republicans to pass legislation in the senate. Let's stop playing into their bullshyt narrative that the votes aren't there because every republican doesn't support it. Also, Negged.

You don't even know they passed a second bill despite being the most active poster in this thread.post is blatantly wrong
the bill that she "took up and passed" was bullshyt that she knew from the beginning was irrelevant. it was a symbolic, meaningless gesture. it might as well have been 30 trillion
and mcconnell hasnt seen a bill that would pass the senate, but that dynamic changes if pelosi signs off on the mnuchin bill and his senators start feeling the heat from their voters to sign it. at THAT point, the only reason americans dont have money is because mcconnell refuses to take up a bill
until then, please explain how pelosi gets a win between now and march and gets money to the american people. the willingness to applaud failure just because it has a D next to its name![]()
stop letting pelosi sit on your face. the number is 1.8 trillion, because that's what has a chance of passing. deal with it, and pass more if the dems win next year. you have a childish lack of understanding of the nonexistent leverage pelosi has. SHE IS IN NO POSITION TO DEMAND ANYTHINGYou don't even know they passed a second bill despite being the most active poster in this thread.
$2.2 trillion HEROES Act would provide second round of stimulus checks
LOL @ McConnell hasn't seen a bill that will pass the senate. Stop sucking that man's dikk.
