I miss this in today's product. To watch Bret go from tag to ic to world champion was something for the viewer to invest themselves in. Watching Rock and Austin battle over the IC title and later the world title You don't get that anymore

It gives them true staying power when you get to ride with them during their "he almost had it" come up years. It's a lost element for sure
