I really dont get why everyone is acting like you put Kirk Heinrich or something. Its fukking John Stockton. Durabiltity (missed only 22 games during his career, 18 of them in one season), shooting percentage, defense (All Time Steals leader), Court Vision...i mean dam...dude was a beast. Zeke was nice too but numbers dont lie. And if it werent for the GOAT, Malone and Stockton probably have 2 rings.

Team titles are a matter of mostly favorable circumstances. Don't do that.

Oh but you can when the two being compared are close like this. Isiah was the best player on his championships teams along with winning a finals MVP. People like to bring up Jordan but the Jazz were always a good team and made many playoff pushes. Fact is John Stockton didn't have it in him to get over that hump. Playing with a top 15 player and top tier coach wasn't enough for him.
I think it's really lazy to just defer to team titles in an individual comparison.
Stockton went to two finals. His Jazz teams lost to a better team. Isiah won titles in between the Laker and Bull dynasties. Tough for me to say the Jazz, when they peaked, don't get at least a title in one of those years.
