Switch both PGs to the other guys' team. Do the teams do better or worse?

Give Malone Isiah Thomas and he's a champion early in his career. I don't think Stockton was the guy to lead those Pistons teams to championships; he didn't have that killer instinct (well, only a couple of guys really did) that Isiah had nor the ability to just take over a game.

I really dont get why everyone is acting like you put Kirk Heinrich or something. Its fukking John Stockton. Durabiltity (missed only 22 games during his career, 18 of them in one season), shooting percentage, defense (All Time Steals leader), Court Vision...i mean dam...dude was a beast. Zeke was nice too but numbers dont lie. And if it werent for the GOAT, Malone and Stockton probably have 2 rings.

EDIT: Stockton had Isaiah present him at his induction ceremony for the Hall of Fame.

The GOAT didn't stop Isiah from getting rings. :leon:

Pos rep. The only point guard that should even be mentioned as better than Stockton is Magic. Point guard head to heads are deeper than points scored against one another. That's a weak argument. Everyone knew Zeke could score. The greatest thing about Stockton to me was not only his ability to work the pick and roll and find open teammates, but also the fact that he was the ULTIMATE pass first player. He could have scored whenever he wanted to. His 3 point shot was solid, his ability to get into the lane was solid.....he just didnt look for his own shot very often.

Bullshyt. He couldn't even score when his team needed him to do it the most. You take prime Isiah and put him on those Jazz teams that went to the Finals and they come away with one of those. That's when Utah needed Stockton to step his scoring up.

Actually ya he did, from 89-93 Isaiah and the Pistons couldnt get by Mike and the Bulls. MJ basically ended the Bad Boys era. They won those rings IMO at a time when the NBA was going through a changing of the guard as the Celtics and Lakers dynasties were ending.
