I love Killer Mike. But I only like Run The Jewels.

Dudes beats and lyrics (El-P's) take some getting used too. And he can't flow.


But RTJ2 and Rap Music are great albums and deserved of critical acclaim. But as a Mike fan, I don't appreciate El-P on the mic and I'm not overly hot on his production.

Those albums are better than anything Mike has put out outwide of Pledge 2

Much like Kanye, El-P is a much better producer than he is an emcee. The RTJ albums are dope, but R.A.P. Music is a damn masterpiece: Killer Mike at his best, with banging beats behind him. Sure I'd wish he'd drop some non-RTJ related material every now and then (a new Pledge album perhaps), but I'm not gonna front on him for doing what's working for him.

Great beats, mediocre rhymes. Killer Mike is just so corny to me nowadays. He's like a fatter, more articulate version Lupe...guys who never really made it big, but had two or three songs get some kind of recognition...but they swear by everything that is rap, that they're the illest lyricists.
