I said the same thing..when I was living in Florida. I left my girl in MI while I set up the house, got set at my job for a couple weeks, etc.
I had my boys come visit me before she got down there so i could have one last hurrah - I was young, liked p*ssy and was fiending for some...
I fukked like 4 chicks... at that point in my life it was my best couple weeks ever.
I messed up because I really liked one girl... She was country as fukk with a fat ass. MAdd different than what I was used to (slim, uppity , educated) . I semi-wifed this hoe. Even when my girl came down.. I had shorty on the side. Trickin off money, spending time with her. We were getting real close.
Until, my girl saw a text from me to the chick that said
"I know we should use condoms, cuz I love busting in you too much... we gonna get caught up w a baby, yo p*ssy like water to a fish i need that shyt" 
There were some back n fourth text , but thats the one That had me getting woken up in my sleep with a crazy crying bytch with a knife.. She swiped at my stomach and missed... but then snabbed downward and got my leg.
I had just started Martial arts at the time (plus i was a combat troop in the military for years right before this) so I got the knife from her..
I backed up and sat on the bed cuz I thought it was all over but nope.... She ran to the kitchen to get another knife.. I ran and stopped her.. she grabbed a bowl and hit me with it like "you cheating muthafaka I'm going to kill you"
I held her down until she calmed down, .. She had her parents move her back to MI the next week. but all week.. I told her "i'm going to go to sleep and if at any point you try to hurt me. I will kill you, str8 up... I will kill you and not even feel bad- you shouldn't be going thru peoples phones anyway!"

True story: when I was a kid my dad used to run a "business" that served many of the local citizens. He had a partner, and a suburban residence that served as a center of operations. Since my mom worked graveyard, I used to sleep at this place often instead of staying home alone at night.
Anyway, my dad's partner used to mess with this crazy ass white girl (an actual physical entity), who was a cokehead and clinically psychotic. I think he broke it off with her, or they were going thru major issues at the time of the following incident. One night we heard a commotion out in front of the house, so we all run out to see what was going on. When we get outside, here she is in the middle of the street throwing a fit and causing a scene. As soon as she sees me, her eyes widen and she hops in her car and hits the gas barreling right towards me; I had to jump out of the way of the car just like in the movies.
Later she said that she went after me, because in her coke fueled mind she thought I was the child of my father's partner, and she wanted to hurt him by killing me, or at the very least maim me.
