Injuries and that covid break really fukked our season off

We had a nice winning streak going and then the Covid break happened right before the All Star break.

Team ain't been the same since the All Star break

Had it's starting center play like trash and retire :gucci:

Had it's starting point guard start the year hurt...come back and play 1 game and then get hurt again...come back and then get covid...COME BACK AGAIN and then get a high ankle sprain and be out the rest of the year :gucci:

Had 7 of its top 9 players in covid protocol :gucci: missing so many players we couldn't play a game for two weeks :gucci:

Had to play the most games in the shortest amount of time of any nba team after the all star break :gucci:

Yeah we need to just pressing X until we get to the off season screen :gucci:

There is a rumor on spurs talk that this might be it for pop:hubie:
Hell if you look at that pic of Pop on the chair, you could imagine him thinking about enduring another season.

I want him to get the all time wins record, but it is not like Pop has anything to prove. And this roster (no matter who we might sign or draft) is in no position to make any serious run. Certainly not soon enough to where Pop would be a part of it.

If he does retire, he accomplished it all.

Okay, so hearing a lot of chatter about an offseason move for John Collins from ATL.

Thoughts? I haven’t gotten to catch a lot of ball this year, especially outside SA.

Dallas by way of Houston by way of San Antonio

They'd have to max him to get him I think. The longer Atlanta's postseason run goes, the more valuable he becomes (and he was already being talked up prior to the postseason). SpursTalk seems to think Lauri Markkanen is the most likely target this offseason though. Spurs need to do something like OKC and start collecting picks in exchange for a bad contract or two. I just don't see any major FAs wanting to sign when Pop already has one foot out the door and the Spurs title window is closed for the next couple of years.

Makes sense. And like you said, last night’s win doesn’t necessarily improve SA’s chances at a less painful bidding war on him.
