"Give the music away for free, and then double up on these shows" - Nip Hussle

cuz labels stopped takin a chunk of touring profits??? :wtf:

label's/publishers not suin rappers for performing tracks containing samples or instrumentals anymore??? :wtf:

record labels are only good for marketing and promotion. we can do a majority of the record label's job and keep all the profit thanks to social media.

Jay is an idiot and so are you for listening to him. The labels are on the hook for paying artists not the streaming services. Tidal is contractually prohibited from paying the artists directly. It was a get rich quick scheme that backfired. Jay Z bought his masters so he can talk that shyt but majority of signed artists don't.
Let them get paid 6cent i don't care.

That's why touring is essential. But damn a million play only gets you 6-8k? :dwillhuh:
u would think hitting a million plays or views would have you walking out the bank, nu
Again with this shyt :snoop:

It's the record labels robbing artists

The labels are eating. The artist have themselves to blame for signing that slave contract

Its not FULLY the labels, labels have no control over how little a streaming service pays out, true enough the label gets a majority of the streaming revenue first, then pays the artists a portion, but still. And what u mean Again with this shxt, everybody dont know how this works, so if u know it all, keep it moving G
