You got me there, when I lived in NYC, I would never see anybody wearing the Yeezy clothes he released seasonally, it was usually merch and the 350s.

Around 2007/2008 I guess cats started figuring out it wasn't about wearing baggy shyt no more...but fitted. Rick Ross was even rapping about the fitted jeans around that time period.

There was that battle between the dudes that rocked baggy jeans and the dudes that rocked skinny jeans. I feel with Kanye West beating 50 cent in that sales battle fall 2007, that was it for baggy hood wear. IT was done. Them cats was now rocking Ed Hardy/Christian Audigier and Affliction

from my grands on down they always said you reppin the family when you step outside so present yourself accordingly

clothing can be cut to create different silhouettes & different shapes

cats just straight wearing shyte that does not fit them both too loose & too tight

I remember dudes rocking fake bulletproof vests around 2002/2003 when 50 Cent blew up!

I remember back in the early 2000s all these rappers were coming out with their own clothing brands. Snoop Dogg, Nelly (not Apple Bottoms), Outkast, etc. I remember Christmas 2002 my mom got me a Snoop Dogg Clothing jean suit.

Ironically bulletproof vests have been making a combat since 2017 lol
