Would it be a good Ebay flip by auctioning them off? Considering people travel from all over the world to attend, I think it'll be a good way to at least double my money. Thoughts?

I don't think it'll be that much like the poster said above unless it's like the front seats

You will lose money. The bigger the venue, the more sellers there will be. And in a 50-100k stadium there will be alotttt of people who bought tickets and legitimately can't go and just want to break even. If you're trying to make a profit you can't compete with people trying to break even. The only way to make money on tickets is if an event catches everyone by surprise. WM is the opposite of that

edit:
a better bet would be the Rumble but only if
1) you get premium seats, I'm talking like first 3 rows on the floor. for that you will need to get in on the AMEX presale
2) you flip them within the first 2 days of the onsale. The price of WWE ppv resale tickets almost always goes down the closer you get

reselling tickets is one of my side businesses. I don't even bother with WWE tickets. Can you turn a profit on WM if your life depended on it? Yeah, but there are way more events with better margins, less hassle, less competition, less cost, and less retarded customers. you'd make more money buying 10 tickets of the right $25 concert than one pair of $125 (each) WWE tickets

I always had it in my mind that if I bought like 2 or 3 around $1300 each & auction them off on Ebay starting at like $1600 for 5 days I could at least make around $800 on each one. I may shoot for the Rumble this Friday. I'll be on it soon as they go on sale trying to get the best that my budget will buy.

Well first, most of the customers are gonna be on Stubhub, not eBay. Most Ebay sellers are just trying to arbitrage, selling tickets they dont even have yet and hoping to make money on the difference. If not Stubhub, your best bet in a situation like this (possibly better) would be to re-sell them on Ticketmaster's own resale marketplace. 9 times out of 10 there will be less selling competition on there than Stubhub. That's if the venue offers that - not all of them do. It's your money, but buying 2 at $1300 each if you've never done it before is pretty risky, but if you got $2600 to gamble on then :manny:

Me, if I had $2600 at the casino I'd rather take 26 tries at $100 a hand on blackjack than put the whole $2600 down on one hand

There are news items in the Wrestling Observer every few months about scalpers taking a lawse on WWE shows. In any business, when supply is exceeding or meeting demand it's a race to the bottom on prices. The most recent example I saw was the NXT show before Summerslam where hundreds of tickets were at $6 (the lowest you can do) on Stubhub and floor seats were going for half price

If I was to do it & they didn't sell then I guess I'd be GOING TO WRESTLEMANIAAAAAA!! LOL!! I'm having 2nd thoughts now though. I might as well hold on to my money until I can find a better flip.

That's the smart move most of the time. If you had an unlimited budget then yeah, buy everything in sight. But most of the time the best "trade" is to sit there and wait for something better.

NXT Takeover floor seats will be cheaper. Proportionately probably the same amount of people trying to scalp em (I lost money on NXT in Chicago, made money on the last NXT here in MA, then lost money in Portland, made money in Seattle, lost money on Rhode Island..probably broke even for the whole year on NXT.. no more NXT for me :camby:) but your risk will be lower.

But right now for example Hell In A Cell is here (Boston) at the end of the month and you can already buy floor seats on Stubhub cheaper than what they cost on Ticketmaster. I'm gonna see about getting floor seats for cheap the week of the show for personal use.

Hell In A Cell
stubhub: floor seats starting at $200 +fees
http://www.stubhub.com/wwe-tickets-...t=price+asc&bla=false&mapState=zone&zid=44517

ticketmaster: floor seats $425 + fees
http://www.ticketmaster.com/wwe-hel...atid=27&tm_link=search_msg-0_010050EECD64875E

Hov did that so hopefully you wouldn't have to go through that

If I had to try to make money off WWE in the next few months I'd cop 100 level seats for the annual MSG show on the day after Christmas and/or some quality seats for the Rumble

But like I said, there's way better shows to invest in than WrestleMania in a time period when WWE is cold and they're running 'Mania in venues 3x the size they were doing when WWE was hot, for triple the price now than when they were hot

Yeah, most likely I'll just see what the Rumble is talking about this Friday.

According to the Alamodome's official Facebook account, a special presale code will be posted and tweeted out so that fans can purchase tickets starting at 10 a.m. Tuesday.

Just a Visa. Tomorrow might be too soon depending on the prices. My rent due on the 17th & I don't wanna spend too much in that short of a time frame. I'll check it out though.

Nah don't do eBay

Because eBay and PayPal both get cuts

I sold sold something for around $300 and had to pay like $40 to them

The best part of wrestle mania, are the tailgate parties and fukkery of wrestling out in the parking lots.
