Oh, that explains it, “got mine, fukk yours” no matter how many people you help individually, if your overall sentiment is to make sure poor people are “held accountable”, you either become one of these soulless ghouls, or you will end up seeing all these people you gave your ass to kiss on the way up, when you eventually fall off, which will definitely happen. All you really have to do, is be kind, and do no harm
My thing is at what point do you bleed people dry, people asking for loan forgiveness not because they can go buy luxury items but so they can save up for a house, put money aside so that don’t have to work until they 80 something

I understand the country is broke but why do the the working class have to always foot the bill for everything

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
I'm a millionaire .. never went to college

It's not right how are higher education system is capitalist .. that's how this country works. Takes advantage capitalize on ignorance ..

Ironic tho that these "smart" people who are accepted to these schools don't see why..
Then it does you absolutely zero harm to just say “it sucks for them” and bow out gracefully. I’m not a millionaire, I’m middle class, but there have been times where it has been tough, and looking back, I don’t wish that on anyone. It’s that simple, just be happy with your blessings, and wish people luck in their struggles. These people, even if you think they are foolish, aren’t hurting anyone to the point that you have to point and laugh. That’s like telling someone on welfare “don’t be poor, pull yourself up by your bootstraps!”

Straight from Flatbush
GOP doesn’t even have a hand to play and they still pimp out the Dems - every single cycle
You sure about that? GOP touting student loan payments to resume under the debt ceiling act not realizing they are admitting outright to bushing an act that would have benefitted millions… dumb asses going to lose even bigger in the 2024 election…

Dobbs, abortion pill ban, now student loans… Yeah this only hurts one party and that’s the party that been getting beat to shyt since 2018

Not sure if you are an advocate for forgiving or not, but this country has more than enough money to forgive everyone’s student debt, regular credit card debt, mortgages, everything, and it doesn’t even have to affect “middle class”. If this country just taxed billionaires and corporations at the rate they tax the working class, 99% of this country would have more than enough, and billionaires and corporations would still have more money than they could ever spend

My thing is regardless if they forgive or not, why is majority of the burden always on the working class

I mean it's around the same date Biden has said all along, so this new date isn't that big of a deal. The only thing this confirms is that there won't be another pause, which we already know that anyways.

If you know in advance that you won't be able to make that first payment back, then call now as they've stripped away resources from those student loan companies and it will be a hassle getting someone on the line.
Yep and the DOE already informed the loan companies weeks/months ago to prepare for payments to start resuming. It sucks that the 10k/20k forgiveness more than likely going to be struck down by the courts but the payment pause wasn't going to last forever.

How Biden helped create the student debt problem he now promises to fix

This article is more than 3 years old

The former vice-president and 2020 presidential hopeful backed a 2005 bill that stripped students of bankruptcy protections and left millions in financial stress

Joe Biden’s Role in Creating the Student Debt Crisis Stretches Back to the 1970s

As a senator, Joe Biden supported several bills that contributed to the rise in borrowing from $1.8 billion in 1977 to $12 billion in 1989.

The fukked up part about it is that everyone knows that lobbyist are influencing the decision as it's too much money in the problem, but there's nothing that can be done about it.
