Because the shyt is a trap just like offering credit cards to college freshman the minute they step foot on campus.

people with college degrees have much larger earning potential than people with out them
People who got loans but never finished school are the ones that feel trapped
I don't think it will either but I disagree that it shouldn't happen. I wholeheartedly believe that student loans shouldn't even exist. At the very least Community College should be free.
Isn’t community college damn near free?
Student loans should exist but the interest should be minimal and they should be forgiven relatively quickly if you do some type of public service
