But because they're predatory. They're giving out loans to people with zero credit history who aren't even old enough to smoke let alone drink with no guaranteed ROI.

He’s probably going to extend this to 2023 and it’s the right thing to do considering food, oil & gas prices are skyrocketing
Kids and their parents can choose cheaper schools though. Or shop around. Or go to community college. Or go to trade school.
There are too many alternatives and too many ways to save money and too many free resources to be dumb.
Not necessarily breh. Plenty of people have finished school and are struggling to pay loans back. Lot of other people that want to earn graduate degrees that can't afford to because of the loans and cost of it. My girl got her PhD and was paying like 500.00 a month and had to jump through all kinds of hoops to get her job to even pay part of it. They pay it in chunks like 20% per year then there's othstuff that was needed to have them spread it out to cover 12 payments instead of all going to interest.
Those are anecdotes
people with degrees out earn people without degrees and they have more opportunities to choose where and how to earn a living
Might be damn near free to you but you take a kid that has nothing and ask him to squeeze blood from a turnip then therein lies the problem.

Agreements given under fraudulent pretenses are usually cancelled. Even if it wasn’t, a student loan should be able to be discharged, not follow someone for life like a sex offender

The student loan crisis is about the country’s refusal to take care of its people while using their money to take care of others. Yes, Bobbie took out 15k and got a degree in the History of Vinyl from 1953-1972. Don’t chastise him and sent a billion dollars to Israel or money to the Ukraine for some stuff that hasnt got anything to do with the people over here.
