I'm up usually by 5am but I have two daughters (one which started school this year.) I get my work out in, get them up at 6:30, and help them get ready as needed. Our nanny is here to take over M - Th at 7:15, and 7:30 am on Friday. That said, my work hours? Couldn't ask for better. I'm 9am - 4:00pm (more like 3:45 because that's when I typically have the final patient out the door.) The clinic I work at is less than 25 minutes away and on the outskirts of the city so I get to work within 15 - 20 minutes on average accounting for traffic. I am on call at a local hospital every other Sunday from 8am - 2pm but I opt to do that gig. Time is a precious commodity. The most precious imo. You have take care if business but I spend as much of it as possible doing what I want. Honestly, the work week is a day too long, too.
:ohhh: You’re a doctor?

This was what people probably said back when the work week was 6 days and the average work day was 9-12hrs and you could be fired for any reason including because the boss just doesn't feel like paying you anymore.
Breh the same mfers complaining about this shyt are the same ones who want to be bosses and entrepreneurs so bad. If you cant handle working 8-10 hrs getting up 5 days a week, you damn sure wont be able to handle the 24/7 grind that comes with being your own boss. Everybody want to make six figures plus but dont wanna put in the hours and effort it takes to get there. Alot of mfers really got poor time management. Thats a part that doesnt get talked about. Acting like they dont have enough time to sleep but know all the new shows, music, drama, and bullshyt going on in the world.

we don't need to do even close to 40 hours a week to keep the world running. that's just the maximum amount of hours you can be forced to work for decades without breaking or having any time to find another source of income on your own.

What you don't understand is people stay up because it's their only real free time. Just think, you get off at 4 and get home by 430. Start cooking dinner by 5, done eating by 6. I didn't even mention the gym, so it's either after work or before work.

You got like 3 measly hours leftover to do whatever which ain't shyt.

The main issue is people getting lack of sleep not starting work before 9. If people started work at 11 am those same people complaining about 9am start would start complaining about 11am start because they would go to bed later again. People stay up late doing nothing to often.

aimless ambition for the sake of ambition with no tangible goals or strategy dont amount to shyt

'Putting in the hours" ", Sacrifice", and "Grinding" are nice concepts especially when accompanied by swelling, triumphant musical scores and introspective voice overs... fukk all that.

Just be intentful , efficient, respect your current limititations, and always be in research mode. Measure twice, and cut once. fukk making shyt unnecessarily difficult. you're gonna encounter enough hardships along the way.
if nikkas think the key to success is just go to "go to bed early" :mjlol:

Before I got into IT, I did 10 years of physically intense manual labor . I'm talking sweat so much much that there's a thick layer of salt on my skin after work. I lived by going to bed early and it helps a little, but there's something about switching start time from 7/8 AM to 10AM/11AM that was a crucial difference....to me

When you can wake up, get some time to yourself and prepare for the day before starting your workday, so much better than waking up in "GO!!" mode scrambling to do shyt. that peace of mind is priceless:blessed:

I've worked noons for the past 3 years, and being in IT, fukk going back, my worklife balance is off the charts. I'll gladly take a 10k paycut to stay remote if I cant find something better at my current rate. the peace of mind is just.....:ohlawd:
