Everywhere...You never there.
Outside of working oil fields in North Dakota....that isn't happening anywhere in America and thats even done.

in terms of popping up in a new locale with only a hsd and getting a decent labor intensive job pretty quickly . .. true. those days are done but there are designated areas across the country where state and county governments are investing money for training initiatives to lure in that exact demographic for certain industries. .. but Africans want the allure of.the A, tho.

Breh it ain't like the 90's anywhere in America no more. Plus in the 90's the city had a massive cash infusion from the shyt leading up to the Olympics. That shyt pretty much changed the A forever. Kinda hard to capture lighting in a bottle like that again breh. But the blue collar shyt will always be there. We got the busiest airport in the world breh. Between that and the warehouses around it that shyt is huge. Don't under estimate that. A whole bunch of Black folks eat down there. I've always said Hartsfield-Jackson being so big has kept a lot of nikkas off the street in the A.

And DC got the same shyt going on in the that we do. PG just a slightly bigger more well known version of Dekalb. Same crime rates, same demographics, same hood shyt in spots, hell some of the areas even look the same. Ft Washington looks like some parts of Stone Mountain until you see a 7-11 or some shyt like that. Its plenty folks up there struggling too breh. nikkas paying a rack and up to stay in the trap in SE and get evicted and move way out and can't even get to they job. DC is doable if you making 75K and up, but you still gon be dropping damn near half of what you make on rent if you trying to be a decent area. I ain't one of them type of nikkas so my Black ass will be in the A breh :yeshrug:

And don't knock Cleveland breh. If folks like us all moved to places like Detroit, Clevleand, and Gary we could turn it around. Real shyt. Been putting the bug in nikkas ear about buying shyt in the Midwest. I bought and fixed up a house in Gary for less than 7 racks breh. This ain't no big shyt either homie. Damn near every nikka in this thread could do that.
Too many of our folk don't think like that. But once white folks move in they scream gentrification. It was the same thing in west Oakland. Now you can't even afford to buy property there unless you got 100k over asking.

Ehh Blacks should not be depending on the government sector. DC simply is too unidimensional (government and IT) while the A has multiple sectors full of Blacks including the government. And the poor Blacks who got pushed to the burbs been living here decades.

Which is why I think black professionals need to consider Baltimore to live in. The commute is reasonable via public transportation and cost of living is cheaper. If more blacks purchased in Baltimore we could change the demographic completely.

Good shyt! This is exactly what I'm trying to do, but in Baltimore. My friend is already buying up places slowly, he just copped his 3rd property and awaiting settlement. I'm trying to get more like minded individuals in on the deal. If I can get 5-7 people and we all put up $2k, we could buy up some places quickly.

Ehhh. .. ideally no, but it's an opportunity to build and grow into your own shyt eventually or even stack your bread then move to a metro like the A or DC. .. Too many folks in that high school diploma demo are still clinging to that late 90s. .. even early 2000s atl narrative and that's just not.the case for that demo to have the exaggerated quality of life that they think they're gonna have.

:whoa: gary????

man that shyt looks like it's been thru a war in most parts. and there are no jobs out there either. UNLESS you can find a job in the south suburbs of chicago where you might have a reasonable commute, I wouldn't wanna live there. and plus, say you have a crib out there that's nice, chances are, the rest of the block looks like shyt. it's like a total different world out there.

This is just the reverse of "white flight" and it's happening everywhere not just ATL.

Past the beltway in Houston their are plenty of "nice" neighborhoods that low income. All the white people are moving back to the city. Taking over all the neighborhoods that were hood or lower middle class. Buying 2 houses and building bigger one's on 2 lots. Then you have other who are moving further out to these mini communities where they don't even have to leave the neighborhood for anything. Meanwhile a lot of the companies past the beltway have died or moved. .

Before it wasn't even about the housing being cheaper it was because that meant you were moving up
in the world to move to the suburbs :rudy: I never liked them.

We got to find ways to make money without having jobs or making long commutes. The gentrified cities don't have family building in mind. It's like that in Europe as well. Only the single childless life.

Y'all arguing about nothing . The government has already came out and said they want to move all low income housing to the burbs and move cacs into the city .

I was ear hustling some brothas in a bar not too long ago who was talking about that. They was saying the big thing up there is buying them 3 story row houses and splitting them up into separate condos and selling them. Think they was saying they did more of that split shyt in DC but they was like Baltimore coming up too. Sounded pretty fukking lucrative overall to me.

But going in on that for 2 racks tho?

I'm intrigued breh.

We should start a thread for Coli out of town net working and deals. nikkas post in and when you slide thru that area if you trying to put some shyt together or connect and network you can. This Bmore shyt sounds interesting and I wouldn't mind networking with some brehs out west in Cali, Washington or Colorado. I know some of y'all nikkas on here got some shyt going on. I'll hop on a flight and we can do some business. Pretty sure I ain't the only on here who feels like that
