Similarly there are people who are given opportunities but crash out
It really depends on having the right skills. If you have good social skills, decent mental health, and good mentors/or a good netork, then hard work will pay off
But if you're lacking in 1 or 2 or 3 of those areas it'll be difficult as fukk no matter how hard you work
