It's somewhere in the middle

Hard work and persistence can help create opportunities

Similarly there are people who are given opportunities but crash out

It really depends on having the right skills. If you have good social skills, decent mental health, and good mentors/or a good netork, then hard work will pay off

But if you're lacking in 1 or 2 or 3 of those areas it'll be difficult as fukk no matter how hard you work

Look at the NBA. There are millions of young men around the world who are NBA level. If they aren't seen by the people who can recruit them, they'll never make it into the NBA. They could have the genetics, they could have the talent, but if they aren't at the right place and at the right time, they won't get in.

the keys the success is often given.

maintaining that success is something you have to learn though.

You can't just give anybody money and expect them to live a good life.
Look at Bronny, Dad gave him a spot in the league. But ultimately Bronny is going to have to earn the right to stay there for a full career.

:francis:The amount of competent black folk I see passed over for higher positions for some fukk up cac who’ll end up putting companies, livelihoods and prestige in hot water

From trade work to the office world

Anger don’t even begin to describe what I walk around with on the day to day
