Haha I dunno if it was that profound but I’ll take it. Appreciate it breh.Seem like throughout history the masses never really catch on. It's always a small group of people. In the scriptures, you see verses about being in the world but not of it. Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it.
I know in a lot of archaic societies you had secret cults and groups that had a lot of knowledge as it pertains to science, medicine, history, philosophy, math, etc. While the masses were stuck on entertainment.
Earl in that video talks about man's biggest problem is many simply don't think. A lot of cats never take the time to cultivate their minds, they rather just follow along with everyone else. So what you said here is really profound.
But you’re right—most people don’t think. I noticed this in high school and it frustrated the fukk outta me cuz all my homies thought about was basketball, music and girls…nobody was thinking about their future, the world, identity, personal development etc. I was definitely on a different wavelength (even tho I was a semi serious baller and rapper).
Going back to successful people though—one of the traits of successful people is investing time in high yield actions. Everything successful people do has a high ROI. So if your average person isn’t focused or doesn’t have a vision, a successful person will hi and bye those folks. But if you can demonstrate that you have ambition, drive AND a vision—they’ll carve out time in their calendar for you.
One of the biggest misconceptions about successful people is that they don’t give back or help people. Nah, they do. They’re just extremely specific about who they help. But when they do help they provide lots of it. Your job is showing that you’re deserving of that time and help.
