I feel that same way, but then I think some of these suicides the person isn't thinking straight. Thinking of that mother that jumped at the baseball game last year with her child. Like WTF? I've never experienced that kind of depression so hard for me to act like I know what they're going through but damn, I feel bad for the families.

I wouldn't say they're selfish. They're sick in the head, or just overwhelmed and aren't thinking rationally. You think about it, what sane person would willingly harm themselves? You have to be fukked up in the head. We automatically have a fight or flight mechanism built within us when up against danger to salvage our own lives. People who are suicidal are willingly embracing danger to do the opposite. That's not normal. Has nothing to do with selfishness.

Yeah that’s not gonna fly with me. It’s not just for others but that’s a foundation to build on. I said it earlier but there’s potentials you can’t even imagine if you’re in that state.

I witnessed someone just last week on here who’s ADMITTING he’s depressed and searching for passion. Homie is at least fighting for his life and happiness and all kinda folks flooded in talking shyt to him. I respect him for that and my advice was completely different from what I saw there. This is tough love but it’s still love at the end of the day.
Even at my darkest moments, I never considered suicide. When I was broke and penniless, suffering from a shattered heart, or at a loss for my purpose in this world, not once did the possibility of ending my life cross my thoughts.
I’ll never understand the mindset that drives a person to kill themselves, and I hope I never do.
Breh...there were times where I thought about just ending it. Especially last year when I was on a big breaking point. I thought about jumping off of the freeway bridge, but the reality of me fukking up somebody's day along with abandoning my family is more real than anything else.
The reality is that losing your life leaves a domino effect on those that care about you the most, along with you being another statistic. Why would you want to go out that way when you have more in store as time goes by?
I often think of that moment and remember my son running up to me hugging me like...fukk....
Not enough pain and agony in this world could make me want to do such a thing despite those thoughts. I can't lose my son, my wife, or the chance of actually leaving this shythole country regardless of how rough it is looking. I know things will be a bit better if not overkill miracious because I know in my spirit that we all deserve such a blessing.
Now back to this thread, OP is not wrong but the context is too raw for those that are mentally flawed. Suicide is not the answer to a problem, but a solution of giving up on finding the car keys, only to have them in your back pocket.

Man, I done been the lowest of the low. Was broke, scrounging up money just to stay at them $40, we take cash and credit, dirty hotels. Slept in vans, while still having to pay money for my child’s daycare and daily well being. Even with all that, I never thought of taking my own life. Knew it would mess with that little girl I brought into this world, my parents, my brother, and family. I’ve been selfish, but I couldn’t be that selfish. My parents already lost a kid, my brother lost a sibling, etc. i couldn’t do that to them.
