it is a better DCEU film than it is a superman movie. after the first watch I think MoS is better. also possibly behind superman the movie.

the real issues for me were 1. too much james gunn stuff 2. too convoluted plot 3. little character development 4. few cinematic highs and 5. (and most significant) lack of sci-fi wonderment.

the way the sci-fi elements were presented was all a bit mundane.

no wonderment,

no mythos.

major turning points were presented in a run of the mill fashion.

actors can't all be brando but:

Yea this is how I feel. It was a cool movie but the plot was all over the place. Mr. Terrific and Lex stole the show IMO.

Edit: Oh yea and Krypto. He's a good boy.
