It was a second week atop the box office for Superman, which held on well from last weekend’s start. The DC Universe film brought in $57.3 million in its sophomore frame, down 54% from its opening weekend take. That’s a very decent hold, better than the drops for most of the final DCEU movies like The Flash (72%), Shazam: Fury of the Gods (69%) and Black Adam (59%). (Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom was the exception at 34%, but that was over the holiday period.) It is also a noticeably smaller drop than Man of Steel, which dropped 65% in its second weekend

Tbh, I've NEVER liked the Legion books myself.

Too many teens/young adults written by people far from that era.

The way other comic readers feel about the Inhumans is exactly how I feel about the Legion of Superheroes books.

I'm not really talking about the Legion of Superheroes comic books really but the brand itself.

I grew up watching the Legion of Superheroes cartoon in the 2000s. Also, the Legion was sprinkled into Superman: TAS and most recently Young Justice Season 4.

They're dope to me

Glad we won't be getting legion any time soon. After 3 guardians movies, I think Gunn is tired of that area and the legion deserves to be made by somebody who wants to make it and can offer a good vision of it

I never said that the Legion has to be a major part of the DCU or that they have to be adapted soon.

Anyway, yes, somehow who is passionate about the Legion should handle the brand in the future.

Anyway, Superman III and IV is pretty much what diminished Superman's brand in the public eye (and the Superman brand hasn't fully recovered since). So I would rather nothing gets gets paid "homage" from those films lol.

Are you now saying Jor-el has no basis on Superman’s characterization on being a force for “good” lore wise?

And what do you mean the message couldn’t have been misinterpreted? James Gunn has said in the interview there was nothing to misinterpret and that Jor-El MEANT that shyt in the messsge

Im saying the lore isnt important because this isnt a comic book. Its irrelevant lore if Clark isnt going to have future interactions with his Krypton parents. Or if they never really get mentioned again. Yall do realize this is likely only a trilogy like most superhero movies right?

I dont see the point of getting upset about what could possibly be irrelevant lore in this particular trilogy. It would be more like getting upset about Uncle Ben dying of natural causes instead of being shot.

Thats 10 times more important as lore than Supermans Krypton parents. But guess what? Even that wouldve been a nothing burger because Uncle Ben was a non factor in these MCU Spiderman movies


And im saying Gunn could be telling you the message isnt fake. But theres nothing explicitly evil in the message despite yall labeling it that way. I showed this with the smallville clip above. So the message is just yall making judgements without context,and taking things out of context. So it certainly is being misinterpreted and that may be a something that comes out in future movies.
