Superman is a damn alien:gucci:

Its weird of them to even try to conflate the two. I just dont recall Superman being some sort of symbol for immigrants:mjlol:

Like we know who the X Men represent despite them being mutants. But supermans issues have nothing to do with his immigration status. Its the fact he could punch earth in half if he felt like it.

Superman did more than enough to guarantee a sequel/next installment of the new universe. That and a quality critic score the film did what is was supposed too.
It's a great building block for what's to come, they have to execute on these next projects (Supergirl, Lanterns and Clayface) for the universe to be established. I'm looking forward to it, I've always leaned towards Marvel, (still love DC) but Superman is in my top favorite heroes with Spider-man and Batman. It's time we get stuff that resembles the best interpretations of the universe (acclaimed comic runs, the animated series, etc.)

I actually agree with this to be honest. What the hell does Superman have to do with immigrants? not sure if he even made the script as a means to push his agenda about immigrants. But if not,why push your agenda after the film is made just because you can somehow find a parallel? Just sort of muddys up the dialogue unnecessarily.

Plus once he did that, folks started looking at the Boravia thing as an agenda against israel. So then that became a thing.
It wasn't "after the film was made" if the entire film, especially Superman's speech to Lex in the end, is a gazillion percent about the immigrant experience.

As for the Israel thing, if people are seeing parallel's then doesn't that say more about Israël and the flagrant shyt going on there? (Superman ironically being the creation of two Jewish immigrants...).

I'm happy that Gunn and DC (the new cartoon had an entire "Earth is for Earthlings" arc) are leaning into this. I prefer art to stand for something rather than rhyming for the sake of riddling.

It's a combination of Superman villains from various sources. Some are from the comics, some are from the live-action movies (especially the Reeve ones) and some are from TV.

The half Supes/half Bats is "Composite Superman" from the comics.

What giant eye are you referring to?

Giant eye is behind Lex Luthor (I’m assuming he’s covering the iris)
