Only ten movies total since COVID have crossed a billion most of them sequels to highly anticipated returning franchises. Many comic book movies like the Cap sequels, Joker sequel, Cap Marvel sequels, etc.. have barely crossed $400M total, if that... This isn't the box office of 2019. This is a new Superman that nobody knows anything about. This is like 'Batman Begins' where even if the movie is good, there's likely a ceiling on it being a new interpretation.

yeah you nerds need to adjust to the new normal. of those 10 billion dollar flicks since covid, only 2 of them were superhero movies (Spiderman and Deadpool X Wolverine, both team up movies). the days of every cape movie making a billion are long gone. I'm not even sure the new avengers movies will do it .

Looks like dailybeast released their interview early and took it down, but it's making it's rounds. Looks like they killed it, guess we'll see if they are outliers or not. Some referred to the review as doing some ragebait shyt.

I think it’ll be positive overall but it’ll have its detractors.
