Movies have review embargos. Basically, professional reviewers can't release their review of a movie until a certain time.

Superman's movie embargo will be lifted on July 8th. So that's when reviews will start rolling in.
I know about the embargos, but I was expecting them to be at least out a week before the movie was out for an event film like Superman.

You’re probably right, but I’m honestly Batman’d out. While I liked the 2022 Batman film - I didn’t love it like a lot people. The whole atmosphere of the film felt like Nolan-lite. I’m in the minority on this and that’s fine with me.
To be honest i was never a fan of Nolans Gotham outside of Batman Begins. The Dark Knight and Rises Gotham was just Chicago and New York without no style. At least in Batman Beings, we saw this type of Gotham:

Nah, movie embargos are usually lifted a few days before (1-4 days). Rarely a week before.

:camby:MAN OF STEEL WAS BETTER THAN
AQUA MAN, WONDER WOMAN AND CAPTAIN MARVEL
WHICH ALL MADE A BILLION

Wonder Woman didn't even make a Billion. I never said Man of Steel was trash. It's Snyder's best DC film by default because the other two were even worse

Should have saved that til after the movie came out. Don’t need to give the neckbeards an excuse to rally against it.

Just stupid ass comment no matter what tbh. Just going out of his way to link Superman to current political shyt, for no reason at all.
I know WBD execs like "he said what? :gucci:"

[James Gunn] continued, “Yes, it’s about politics. But on another level it’s about morality. Do you never kill no matter what — which is what Superman believes — or do you have some balance, as Lois believes? It’s really about their relationship and the way different opinions on basic moral beliefs can tear two people apart.”

I disagree with Gunn here. Superman can and will kill, but only when it's absolutely necessary. It's a last resort usually reserved for the most evil and formidable villains. Superman would never kill Lex Luthor, for example, but Darkseid? Yes, he would.
