Cat had them thangs out the whole movie and it’s what kept me interested

I was going to be critical but there is no point since this movie never took itself seriously. For those saying James gunn didnt gunn it up, I'm not sure what movie yall watched but this was straight up looney tunes status. If a giant acme anvil dropped out the sky and killed the villain at the end it wouldn't have even felt out of place. Its a convoluted mess of a film. Mr Terrific was the best part of the movie and he had the best fight scenes.

This. There's no way to say that when Krypto is a straight up Looney Tunes character.

Eve and the other woman at the Daily Planet were cartoon bimbos.

Jimmy was played for comedy.

Guy obviously was.

Mr. Terrific played the straight man amongst the silliness.

Lex might as well have had an Acme logo on his tech.

The Kaiju was basically introduced as a Pokemon and yeah they never explained where it came from. I just assumed where Lex got it from.

Superman and what little we saw of Clark were cracking jokes throughout.

The serious characters were the Kents and they barely had any screen time. Normally these superhero movies start out high energy and then you have something traumatic happen and the movie takes it foot off the gas to give the audience a break in tone.

This movie started slow. They already showed the opening of the movie as a teaser. Then you got a small fight scene, a brief moment of Clark at work, and a long convo with Clark and Lois. I checked the time and the movie was almost 30 minutes in without anything major happening. The first cool action scene was an hour in.

When they finally had the tone shifting moment I was already checked out because everything before was a mess. I actually loved the heartwarming scene and was hoping the 3rd act could get the movie on track but it didn't.

There were hundreds of plot holes and pretty much nothing got explained.

Where did the growing giant monster come from? We just gonna have hundreds of monkeys typing on twitter and social media? A computer code reverses some giant rift caused by blackholes?

I assumed he got it from the pocket dimension somehow just like he had that one alien liking creature driving them around in there. Not explaining something like that tells me your just going full cartoon.

So let me get this straight...Lex can watch Superman fight Ultraman on camera, call out a number and letter combination, have his team of nerds input those commands into a computer, Ultraman will execute the moves, and this all happens faster than Superman can react/move

I thought he was faster than a speeding bullet but okay.

People not recognizing Clark as Supes is not as crazy as you think.

People definitely recognized him. It's NY and people see celebs all the time and just keep it moving. You didn't see those videos of Harrison waiting for the subway? Everyone ignored him.

I think the audience needed to see it. I was skeptical til I seen her in the costume. She looked amazing.

Honestly if done right she can be a household name.

also why didnt superman just take our lex cameras on his own earlier. didnt need crypto for that.also the bimbo girlfriend of lex was worried about being seen on traffick cameras but not worried that lex could track her phone and messages sent to jimmy?

This movie didn't really have a solid plot. If this was a one off it wouldnt be so bad. But as the supposed relaunch of the whole DCU.. I dont see it. Don't care to see any more of the characters outside of Mr terrific

It is definitely that. You could see this whole movie being a dope arc on JLU the way it played out. Gunn leaned heavy into those influences

He's most certainly strong as fukk, and that was demonstrated in the movie, but they put a LOT of emphasis on how much harder his job is because he's also trying to save everyone around him and not just murder everything in his path.
