Can you guys stop saying this? Superman was NOT weak in the movie.
Also, if Superman just destroys every opponent (which is a major complaint that casual people have), then that would be boring. Also, what would be the point of other superheroes existing?
There would be no point in having Wonder Woman, Batman, the Green Lanterns, Flash, etc.

My opinion is just different from yours.
He stayed getting his azz whipped until the Lanterns, Mr. Terrific, and Metamorpho show up.
I wasn’t crazy about it and probably won’t watch it again for a while, but I suppose it’s solid foundational start for DC to reboot its universe.
Probably not going to be as good as Marvel Phase 1-3, but we’ll see. I’m pulling for DC. I actually prefer DC. Marvel has gotten fat and lazy.

Superman was literally fighting a clone of himself that was being assisted by cameras. If he was getting beat up by Lex himself, I could understand those complaints. Otherwise, nah.
On film is an unnecessary barrier, invincible and the boys are major marquee TV shows that are big business and talked about ad nauseum on social media.
Plus we had brightburn in recent memory

People are saying this? This movie doubled down on the fact that Superman holds his self back purposely. Also the scene with Superman flying into the atmosphere while actively being killed, showed first hand why it’s nearly impossible to kill Superman without kryptonite.
Basically the movie established that the only way to kill Superman is to 1) get into his vital organs, 2) use a being as strong as him 3) attack him where he has to protect living creatures or 4) get some kryptonite. Honestly Superman had the whole book thrown at him and he still won
