IIRC Gunn did say Brainiac was in the OG script for this movie. Id say it’s finally time for Brainiac to
make his big screen debut.

What you see, is what you get
Finally went to see this today. The movie was ok but James Gunn has some work to do in building the DCU. This was probably the weakest on screen portrayal of Superman that I've seen. Emo and stayed getting his ass beat throughout the whole movie. The dog was annoying af and I hope they don't put him in another film. I enjoyed Lex Luthor as villain and the introduction of the Justice Gang.

You would have to purposely ignore context & ignore a director that CLEARLY went out of his way to add depth to an overpowered character, to say it.
