how I was wrong about it "easily crossing $600M" ? This still hasn't been answered. It's been in theaters for 45 days, half the lifespan that movies typically are and for two weeks it's also been available at home to watch.

Despite that.... The last two weekends have been 34% drop and 34% drop. That shows that the movie is holding up well even with the VOD release.

It didn't squeak by 600. It's still making money as we speak.

As for the domestic part of it, The run isn't over yet. It doesn't matter how close it gets to 400 you'll just say it wasn't close enough :dead:

The tone of Batman comics depends on what run. The og 40s and 50s were dikk Tracy -esqe. Silver age stuff goes from balanced, to campy, to Adam West like goofyness. The 80s-90s has some hyper serious stuff but is usually real balanced to the current Tom King and adjacent runs that while playing it straight will still have moments like this

Yeah, there's plenty of comedy in Batman comics.

I love the Nolan movies, but they are waaaaaaaapaaaaaaaay more grounded than the comics. Nolan didn't even bother to use venom in his depiction of Bane and venom is a big part of that Bane mythos.
There's moments in batman comics but the tone is serious the majority of the time. James Gunn will probably have 20-30 of these moments in that brave and bold shyt.

Superman was good, but I cant get invested in this universe if the dont integrate the batman.

This convo is silly, the movie is objectively a success by today's standards. The studio, the competitors and the industry are treating it that way.

Watched BvS:UE the other day...and I still think that's my third favorite Superman movie. 2025 is definitely an easier rewatch though. Was actually surprised at how much the movies have in common.

- Lex stages an international conflict knowing Superman will intervene, and uses it against him.
- Lois and Superman wondering if their relationship will ever work, and even having a discussion on the ethics of Superman going around the world
- Lex managing to turn other heroes against Superman, but in the end they come through and help him.
- Lex being exposed as a criminal and ending up behind bars.
- Lex using Kryptonian DNA to make a "Superman killer".
- Lois using her investigative skills to prove that Lex is the one setting up Superman

This was all in BvS, and is now in Supes 2025.

If DC can avoid repeating a plot or story after 87 years, they deserve a billion.

I mean, there are going to be some similarities between movies starring Superman and Lex Luthor; that's not surprising.

Batman v. Superman and Superman (2025) are VERY DIFFERENT movies from each other in general, though.

I'm not dissing the movie, I've been one of it's biggest supporters on this forum. But this contradicts itself, there's 87 years worth of Superman stories and yet this one repeats beats from the previous Superman movie to a tee.

Just found it interesting :yeshrug:

I mean you could do this with TDK Joker and 89 Joker. Working for mobsters. End movies with falling from a building. Showdown on a street holding a gun and a Bat vehicle.

Lois in Superman Returns is the one who figures out Lex is behind the power outages cause she’s a reporter in all versions of the character.
