Yup whole industry going to 2-3 produers. So now instead of saying this is a "insert camp here" song you say this is a "insert producer here" song.

Only "camp" you can listen to and say they have a sound is Ovo/Drake.

One thing the game is missing is POSSE songs. There is a big difference between a posse song and a song with a ton of rappers on it (like what dj khaled does).

Exactly. The game nowadays has this WWE complex. They want stars but not movements. Everybody wants to be a individual and not rely on a family type of strategy. There's no each one teach one, its lonesome dove shyt in the industry. It's rather depressing...but what can ya do:yeshrug:.

Bad Boy imo should have just went the R and B route. When Biggie died, that seemed a bit of their movement with 112, Faith, Carl Thomas, and even Mario Winans. Hell, majority of Bad Boy tracks were made to chill with a mate anyway, so might as well go with the flow. I don't know any dudes that be on some grimey shyt bumping a Diddy album....now Shyne....that's another story:demonic:.

True but hell RnB died by the mid 2000s,in particular the group concept. Remember all the rnb ans hip hop producers jumped ship to white pop stars during the early 2000s.

Yep. Once folks elevated from the genre like the shyt is beneath them, then the damage came into play. I remember Timbaland being one of the first to ride that pop wave and look where he's at now...making sitcom tracks for Empire:francis:. No knock but I could go for some of those funky drum patterns over that Yamaha piano.

Man Timbo is corny for that stunt. It's a damn shame Devante Swing went ghost because you got cats like Drake and Bryson Tiller stealing his soul right now lol

The thing with RZA...as like Kanye...is that you know that he can make those old grimey, dope Wu beats in his sleep. We've even seen it here and there over the past decade. Just that he doesn't want to.

Yeah, and that's why I think for RZA's sake, it was good in retrospect for him to do the Bobby Digital thing for his own artistic merit cause otherwise he would've started to look like a relic in 98' continuing on with the same shyt. Sure, most of us would've all loved the grimey soulful beats but then it would've looked as if he was stagnant with his work and like he won't evolving at all.

And honestly, Bobby Digital is a good album IF you judge it on it's own merit and not hold it up to any of the previous Wu releases.

Make culprit being Timbaland:scust:

Yeah like at least Neptunes were unbiased and made music for everyone, but Tim legit felt he was greater than his own people smh.

Its also a damn shame what the industry did to mike jackson because i remember hearing most of those justin timberlake songs were meant for MJ, but lf course he was black balled.

You could tell he was doing some heavy drug use on that album. Those skits with the women speaking different languages:dead:

But wasn't that really supposed to end up being a movie?

Yeah, that nikka was dusted out of his mind doing that shyt. That PCP will have a nikka in another world. I know nikkas who've done that shyt and NEVER been right after the fact :wow:

But yeah, it was suppose to go alongside his Bobby Digital movie

Dude...I'm still heated by how the industry did MJ during Invincible. Dude gave us a R and B album but folks threw him in the bushes because he didn't drop those "have you seen my childhood" ass songs.
