I agree the Saudi's are guilty of supporting ISIS and other elements of terrorism, however, in these increasingly common incidents, the funding is really minimal. If you destroy ISIS in Raqqa, you can still influence people to make bombs, buy knifes, drive cars, they don't need deep pockets, they have an extremist ideology. That said, the issue of ISIS, like an social issue needs to be approached from multiple fronts to make an impact.

Yeah, ISIS uses the same type of methodology that white supremacist groups used in in the 80s and 90s: Encouraging easy to do "lone wolf" type attacks that are harder to track and trace back to. It clearly works, as even when 12-15 people are arrested in connection with an event, it never leads back to anyone higher up on the food chain.

Yes. Closing off SAUDI money would destroy the extremism.

It wouldn't, but it would certainly hurt it. Money is coming into ISIS from all over the world. Terrorists don't really need much funding to begin with. ISIS needs more than the average group since they actually provide services (like water, electricity) for areas they take over and have a standing military.

Can anyone start their own ISIS set? :patrice:
I ask this because when a loan wolf attack happens and the person says, "I'm ISIS" I rarely hear ISIS say, "Nah, cuz wasn't jumped it yet.":myman:

Kind of. No one needs to be in The Levant to be in ISIS, or for ISIS to take credit for their actions. They're magazine regularly shows how to build bombs or suggestions of how to do attacks by yourself without any outside help, which then allows ISIS to take credit if people go out and do something.

The Saudis primed the pump and ISIS has been able to make their own money, yes

But countries priming the pump is the problem. Even Hillary Clinton in those Podesta emails revealed that the Gulf nations were providing clandestine support. And our governments are 100% well aware.
